Chapter 12

"Well, at least you remember that, I'm now your parent." Phileo said to Leonia.

"I thought you'd forgotten since you never call me 'Dad'." Phileo said. "T-That's because I'm not used to it!" Leonia said in embarrassment. "That excuse is getting old." Phileo said teasing at her. "You wanna fight?!" Leonia angrily said to her.

"Arghhhh!" Leonia yelled as she repeatedly punched Phileo's chest but she missing it and Phileo didn't feel anything from it.

Luciana sweat drop at them as she started to getting used the fights between the father and the youngest.

Leonia then pouted at him make Phileo stare at her. "Leonia, let me see your eyes." Phileo said to her.

Phileo stare at her make Leonia stare back in confusion. "... Stare competition?" Leonia thought as she stare at him in determination.

Luciana looked at them from beside as she also confused why did Phileo suddenly started to staring at Leonia.

Phileo slowly activated his beast fangs and continued stare at Leonia. He slowly put his hand to Luciana's face to protect her from their beast fangs.

Leonia activated her beast fang with Phileo's power. Luciana feels the bloodlust from them make she flinched.

They eventually stop staring as Leonia brushed her eyes. Phileo pull his hand away from Luciana's face.

"... That bloodlust... Is it Beast fang?" Luciana thought in surprise. She already familiar with that power make she already recognized it easily.

"Mister?" Leonia said in confusion. Phileo glanced at the servants behind them.

"Everyone, get out." Phileo ordered them. The servants bowed at them and walked out to leave them alone.

"Leonia. I don't like beating around the bush. That's when people who don't have anything act like they're something important, when they really aren't." Phileo said once the servants left.

"Umm... Does he have the bad memories about it or something...?" Leonia thought in confusion when he suddenly said that.

"I'll be honest with you. It looks like you're my niece." Phileo suddenly said make the girls turned at him in shock.

"Niece?! So Leonia's parent was..." Luciana thought in surprise. Leonia also surprised when he said that.

"I-I'm just an orphan. You saw me at the orphanage, Mister." Leonia slowly said. "I don't even know where to start with this information!" Leonia thought.

"But your body has the traits of a Boleoti." Phileo said to her. "It's probably coincidence." Leonia nervously said.

Phileo touched her black hair. "Black hair is a genetic trait that only runs in the House of Boleoti." Phileo said taking the strands of her hair.

"The bold child got intrigued, so she bared her fangs at me on purpose. The sparkles in her eyes back then. I thought that was the flow of mana." Phileo thought.

In order to protect themselves, young magicians often let out mana as a natural defense mechanism.

But that wasn't mana.

"You know what's your fangs are, right?" Phileo asked Leonia. "Yeah. That things where your eyes change color and you get the bloodlust." Leonia said.

"You wouldn't have known, but your eyes were glowing back at the orphanage. That's because your power resonated with mine." Phileo said.

"Then, that glow just now... Was that because of that resonance? But it wasn't scary at that time?" Leonia asked him. "That because it's wasn't meant to." Phileo said.

"I just wanted to check whether you had this ability. The beast's fang resonate with those having the same ability." Phileo said.

"... Then, I'm a real Boleoti." Leonia said as she was in disbelief about it. She looked down on her hands.

Leonia suddenly pulls her cheek make Phileo and Luciana surprised. "Hey... This isn't dream, right?" Leonia said as she was hurt because of the pinch. "Do you need to pull your cheeks like that?" Phileo said as he sighed at her behavior.

"Then... Who gave birth to me?" Leonia finally asked him. Luciana also looked at Phileo to confirm about the women inside her mind.

Phileo didn't answer it right away. He takes time before answer it. "... My older cousin." Phileo said make Luciana surprise. Even though, she have suspected about it.

"She was the most annoying woman in the world." Phileo said as he remembers Regina inside his mind.

"Phileo!" Regina lovingly call his name inside his memories.
