Start from the beginning

Stefan frowns slightly. "Evie-"

"No." Evelyn interrupts, harsher than she intended. "I-I'm sorry, but this...it's not working for me." She says before speeding out of the woods.

Stefan sighs defeated, worried for his niece. Not just her physical health, but also her mental health. He knows it has been difficult with being in the tomb desiccated for 145 years and now becoming a ripper. He doesn't blame her for just leaving or for snapping at him. It's the frustration because her body lusts for human blood.

The green-eyed vampire quickly pulls out his phone, calling his older brother. "Come on, pick up, you arrogant jerk." He mutters bitterly and impatiently.

"What?" Damon picks up the call, snapping at him in irritation.

And now Stefan sees where Evelyn got it from. "It's Evie, Damon. She-She, uh...she is gone." He confesses quietly.

"What do you mean, she's gone?" Damon's tone turns colder.

Stefan inhales sharply. "She told me that she's been in the tomb for 145 years and animal blood can't keep her bloodlust under control. I saw the look in her eyes. She thinks she's the monster. I have seen that look before. In my own eyes. She said in her eyes, humans are nothing more than alive blood bags. She is losing it, Damon. We have to find her before she does something she regrets like killing an innocent. When she realizes what's doing, she will never be able to handle the guilt. She's not us. She has never killed. She won't be able to handle the guilt."

"I know, I know." Damon breathes out. "Okay, search the woods and then go to the house. I will look through the town." He announces before hanging up.

Stefan exhales before speeding through the woods, searching for his niece.

Evelyn realizes that since waking up from being desiccated, she hasn't yet tried human blood from the vein. When she walks through town, she suddenly smells the scent of fresh human blood and hears a loud heartbeat. She presses her lips together, trying to continue walking and going past the scent.

But when she walks past it, she accidentally inhales and feels the veins darken under her eyes. Her eyes widen as she realizes she's losing control. She shakes her head in denial but her bloodlust controls her body as she speeds toward the scent.

"W-Who are you?" The wounded boy whimpers.

Evelyn swallows nervously. "Evelyn. Evelyn Salvatore."

His eyes widen. "You're the heretic."

Evelyn purses her lips, nodding slowly. "I am." She steps closer, clenching her fists. "And a ripper. My uncle is the Ripper of Monterey. Maybe I will become the Ripper of Mystic Falls." She doesn't know why she says those words or uses that harsh tone, but the bloodlust controls her and she doesn't fight it for some reason.

"P-Please...don't hurt me." The boy lets out a pained cry.

"Shut it." Evelyn snaps harshly before speeding toward him. "Be quiet." She compels him which makes his cries and whimpers silencing. She thrusts her fangs into the sensitive flesh of his neck and feeds anomalistically.

She doesn't think about him at all. All she can think about is how delicious the blood tastes and how relaxed she feels as the blood flows inside her mouth. She continues to feed until there is nothing more to feed on. She pulls away, letting out a soft grunt as she looks at his pale and lifeless body in her arms. She drops the body to the ground before speeding away to find another snack.

Evelyn feeds on an unknown man in the woods, a pile of lifeless bodies in front of her. Just as she's about to drop his lifeless body to the ground, she feels inhuman presences approaching. She glances up, seeing her father and uncle.

"Dad. Uncle Stefan." Evelyn breathes out.

Suddenly, the heretic becomes aware of the reality of what's done. She glances down at all the dead bodies, realizing how much damage she's done in less than three hours. Her arms relax in shock and the lifeless body in her arms drops onto the pile of bodies.

"Evie...it's fine." Stefan soothes softly.

Evelyn looks up at him, frowning slightly. "What? No, it's not fine. This is...it's terrible. I lost control. Again. I am a ripper."

Damon walks toward his daughter, kissing her forehead softly before wrapping his arms around her and allowing her head to rest on his chest. He shushes her softly, gently stroking her hair before rubbing her cheeks carefully. "Shh, it's okay. Come on, let's get home and clean off the blood. Stefan will deal with the bodies and then I will run a believable story by Sheriff Forbes." He assures softly.

Evelyn nods slightly before wrapping her arms around her father.

After Damon gets her home and cleans her off, Stefan soon returns. After Stefan returns, Damon leaves his daughter in his brother's care as he goes to come up with a story about the dead bodies to Sheriff Liz Forbes.

"I texted Elena, told her we had family things to deal with. I said you couldn't come tonight. Don't worry, I didn't tell her what happened. It's your thing to tell, not mine. And you don't have to tell anyone what happened if you don't want to. We can lie about it. You're my niece, Evie, and I would do anything and everything for you." Stefan speaks softly.

Evelyn smiles sadly. "Thank you, Uncle Stefan."

Stefan smiles softly, hugging his niece tightly and allowing her to lean against his side. He kisses the top of her head, watching her slowly dozing off to sleep.

When Damon comes back, he sees that his brother nor his daughter is no longer at the couch. He speeds up the stairs, stopping when he reaches his brother's bedroom. He sees his brother and daughter laying on Stefan's bed. Stefan rubs her hair gently as the heretic sleeps.

Damon breathes out in relief.

"She fell asleep quickly. She was exhausted. Damon, I-" Stefan begins to speak, not stopping his movements with his fingertips against his niece's hair.

"No." Damon interrupts harshly. "We're not throwing her into the cellar."

Stefan frowns slightly in offense. "I wasn't gonna suggest that. I would never ever suggest that, Damon. Of course, she can't control it, but we're gonna help her. Locking her in will not help. Because the addiction will keep coming. She can't control it like I can. We will find a way to help her, but for now we're there for her and let her now that she will never be alone again."

Damon nods in agreement. "Good that we're on the same side in this. Now, scoot over. I may not be excited for sleepovers with you, bunny eater, but she's my daughter."

Stefan rolls his eyes, but actually does move to the left side of his bed. Damon slowly gets down on the bed, laying on the right side. Evelyn lays in the middle, cuddled tightly and tucked against her uncle's side.

A/N:

I skipped episode 19 "Miss Mystic Falls" because it didn't happen much in it except for the pageant, Caroline becoming Miss Mystic Falls, and Stefan's struggle with human blood.

Damon never locks Stefan inside the cellar since Stefan stops drinking human blood for Evelyn's sake and she does the same for him.
