The Promise

Chapter 21

Phaya POV

It has been a week since he finally arrived in the capital. He has been busy all this time. He has taken his exams and is currently packing his things for his training. Everything has been on the right track, and yet Phaya feels that there is still something lacking, and he knows what—no, it was who.

Yes, it was Tharn, the beautiful man he had been dreaming of and wishing to meet again. The man he wished to be with and has been thinking of since they met. He is the only person who can make him act differently and make his heart beat faster.

He's been wanting to see him and is always thinking of visiting Nongkai just to see the man again, but he controls himself and promises that later, once he finishes this camp, no one can stop him.

Phaya can still remember how Tharn ran to him before he walked to his gate.

Flashback

For a long time, Phaya looks at the entrance, hoping that someone will see him before his flight, but nothing comes. Honestly speaking, he can't even focus on his friend, who's been talking and asking him about Tharn, since his mind is all over that beautiful man.

He's hoping to see him for the last time before he gets home since he knows how busy he will get and he doesn't know whether he can see him again soon. He's been waiting and waiting, but eventually loses hope after he hears the announcement. The group walked through their gates until Phaya eventually heard his name being called.

"Here he is, finally!! "Phaya said to himself.

Phaya smiled the moment Tharn reached in front of him. He saw how the beautiful guy caught his breath, and he couldn't help but worry and ask.

"What happened? Did you run? "

Phaya saw Tharn agree by nodding his head, still trying to regulate his breathing.

"Why?"

"I..I want to see you before you go, Phaya," Tharn said softly once he managed to catch his breath.

Phaya couldn't stop himself from smiling widely after he heard what the man said.

"I also want to see you, Tharn, and I've been waiting for you," he said seriously, leaving the beautiful man stunned for a second and showing his adorable smile.

Phaya wanted to talk to him more, but his plane will fly any second, and his friend has been calling his name on the back. Remembering about the phone number, Phaya asked Tharn if he could borrow his phone.

"Phone?"

"Yeah"

Phaya eventually wrote his number on Tharn's phone and called himself.

"What.."

"It's my number," Phaya said before he quickly took a photo of the adorable man in front of him and admired it for a while.

"Did you just take my photo? "

"Yeah, I'll use it as your profile," Phaya said.

"... and also to look at it and admire it when I want to see you," he added to his mind.

"I'm not ready; delete it."

"Why? You look very nice," he said while looking at his phone before raising his head and looking at Tharn.

"Well, you always look nice," he added.

There's an awkward silence for a long time between the two, but hearing the final announcement, Phaya looked to Tharn before giving the young man's phone, lowering himself, and saying,.

"You have my phone number; you can call me or text me; anything is fine," Phaya said, still looking at Tharn's beautiful eyes.

"And lastly, always think of me," he added before patting the man's head and touching the man's face, pinching it softly.

Phaya saw the young man's flustered face, and he felt satisfied and happy with that. For the last time, Phaya looked at the young man's face, remembering every feature, before turning away and walking to his gate.

And with a final look, Phaya saw the young man still standing in the same place. He took his phone and typed.

"Cause I'll do the same," he sent.

End of Flashback

And until now, Phaya couldn't help but think of the young man, still wondering when he would meet him again. His thought was stopped when he heard his phone ring, and knowing who Phaya was, he eventually picked up his phone and greeted the person on the other side.

"Hello, P'Wit"

"Hello, Nong, it's time, right? "

"Yes, P', I just finished packing and am ready to go."

"That's good to know. Good luck, Phaya. It will be hard, but I know you can do it. If you need anything, just call me, and I'll help you as long as I can."

"Thanks, P'," Phaya said seriously after hearing what his senior said.

The two said their goodbyes, and Phaya eventually took his keys and luggage, opened the doors, and, with a final look at his condo, turned away, closed the door, and said to himself.

"When I come back, I swear that I'll be part of the best police department in this country, and that time I'll make sure to never let him go for the second time."

Author's Note: Chapter 21 is done!! Yayy!! I've been soooo busy because of my university but I'll try my best to finished this story since this is my first baby heheheh.
