No POV
We begin this chapter with Y/n and Lucy sitting in the former's car as they drove to the gate that leads to Dogtown, an area located within Pacifica that was turned into a combat zone. Essentially becoming a city within a city, it was run by former Militech Soldier Kurt Hansen and his gang, BARGHEST
The two were sitting in silence as they drove, eventually, they reached the gates that kept Dogtown separated from the rest of Pacifica and Night City, all around the entrance, repurposed drones and BARGHEST soldiers were stationed as security while cars were coming and going from the entrance
As Y/n's car pulled up to the entrance, one of the soldiers flagged them down and the car came to a stop as the soldier approached the door and knocked on the window
Soldier: "First time entries have to pay up"
As the window rolled down, the soldier's face went from a smug grin to a look of disbelief before he stumbled back when he saw Y/n
Soldier: "F-Fuck, let him through!"
Shouting to the other soldiers, the gate opened as Y/n raised the window before driving into the checkpoint, stopping again as they scanned the car for anything that could be, in their books, illegal
Lucy: "Got a reputation here, don't you?"
Y/n nodded his head, still unable to talk as the mask wasn't made for someone speaking in mind, instead, more words appeared on the digital front
> "Something like that"
The drive continued for a little longer until Y/n then pulled the car over and into an alleyway before the two stepped out. Once out of the car, Lucy started a call with Y/n so that the two could speak without drawing any interference
Lucy: "Follow me, the signal's not far from here"
Y/n: "Right behind you"
Holding his weapons tightly in his hands, Y/n followed along as they entered the street again and started walking. As they walked, Lucy took notice as almost everyone that walked pass did their best to avoid or gawk at Y/n, some even taking photos of the Night City Legend
Lucy: "Just what did you do when you were here last time?"
Y/n: "Kurt wanted to try and stiff me on a payment for a gig, I showed him why that was a bad idea"
Sensing that he wasn't interested in talking more about what happened, Lucy dropped the subject before stopping on the overpass that overlooked one of the many rundown buildings that littered Dogtown and were deemed illegal to inhabit due to supposed structural weakness. This one was an old car dealership and despite it being an off-limits location, one quick glance was all it took to tell that there were people there.
Cars were parked out the front, far too new and far too modified for them to be from the dealership itself. Guards could also be seen stationed around the building. They were dressed in casual clothing, looking like regular gang members or scavengers to the public. But with the way some of them carried themselves, it was obvious that the guards were corpo-trained that were mixed in with the scavengers
Y/n: "This the place?"
Lucy: "Yep, the signal's coming from here"
Y/n: "Then let's not waste any more time"
Planting one foot on the edge of the Overpass, Y/n leaped from it, pipe raised in the air as he plummets to the ground, much to Lucy's shock as she quickly took the stairs down
On the ground, we see two guards that were standing before the entrance to the building, the two being scavengers that were drinking a bottle of alcohol
