Chapter 35 Micheal, Gabriel and Lucifer

Start from the beginning

Lucifer wades through a river of red and purple blood and slime, crushing bloody carcusses of Angel and Djin as they begin to go up in flames beneath his mighty feet. His raven like wings dragged the ground and ash of burning corpses and feathers. His piercing green eyes focus on one thing and one thing only Michael, his angelic brother is the key to God and bringing down all of heaven. A price he must pay to ensure his beloved's safety and immortality. Aelia was the only thing he refused to exist without.

"Michael!" Lucifer shouts as he grows nearer. His brother looks up with fire in his gray eyes. Fire and disappointment lined with anger. His blood-stained wings fully extended and ready for what was to come.

"Lucifer, if you want our father you must go through me," Michael shouts as he meets his fallen brothers stride for determined stride.

"I will slay you just as I did the others if I must brother. Where is God hiding? I see he left you and all the others here all alone to fight and defend his realm. How unfatherly of him," Lucifer taunts as he stands face to face with Michael at last.

"Unlike you, I am loyal to my creator little horn. Let us seize the pointless conversation and finish this once and for all," Michael hisses as he raises his sword ready to strike.

A smile of pure confidence and malevolence curves across his face as Lucifer swirls around like a lightening bolt barely missing the first blow of the sword of justice. His own blade swinging swiftly, nearly severing Michael's head. But like himself, his angelic brother is swift in his movement, avoiding the blow that would have ended his existence. With laughter full of evil and a hint of amusement, Lucifer turns back to face his brother again. They glare at one another trying to anticipate the others' next move. Like twins they swing again. Blade makes contact with blade; a thundering sound fills the air from the force of the swords colliding. Michael, caught off guard by the unforeseen collision, drops his sword from his usually steady hand.

Lucifer does not seize the moment when Michael loses his sword to end his life force. Instead, he remembers the way his brother made him hurt and bleed in his time of weakness and human form, he decides to retaliate, pain for pain, blood for blood, pride for pride. His armored elbow makes direct contact with Michael's nose, breaking the cartilage instantly. Purplish-blue blood spouts from his nostrils as he falls to his knees before him. Lucifer lashes out this time throwing his own sword to the heavens floor and back handing his brother brutally. His long fingernails cutting the flawless flesh of Michael's cheek.

Michael ignores the sting of his nose and face as he forces himself to fight harder. With a deep breath he uses the power of his golden tipped wings to avoid the next blow, feathers creating a strong wind that knocks Lucifer off balance just enough for Michael to get the upper hand. His palms brushed the floor of heaven as he used his powerful body strength to swing to the left and knock his unexpected brother off his feet with his powerful legs. It seems he isn't the only being that's unpredictable and wise as Lucifer's own impressive wings fully extend- rising from the ground and into the air enraged. Michael comes up from the earth into the air as well.

"How does it feel to finally bleed Michael- bleed at my hand as I bled at yours!" Lucifer hisses as his eyes connect directly with Michael.

"It will be perfectly worth it when I take your head Satan!" Michael shouts without another word spoken- they charge at one another, solid muscle slamming into solid muscle, raven wings clashing against white, and gold tipped wings. Auburn hair and golden hair soaked in crimson mingling together as the fallen and the pure hit the ground hard. Both Michael and Lucifer roll from the other in search of their swords- unaware that they are being watched by Gabriel and God. Reaching for- gripping their swords they gain their footing once more, almost as vastly as they fell from the sky after the impact of their bodies slamming into one another viciously.
