Chapter 1 - Stay after class

First day of school... 

New year new school I roll over in bed and look at my phone 

6:23AM "Ugh I got 2 more hours until I got to get up and get ready for school."

 I grab my phone and look at snap and send streaks the same old half face picture. I lay my phone back down and try to get some more sleep. 

2 hours later I wake up to my alarm going off, I pull a shirt on and some pants and head down stairs and love on my dog before leaving for school. I get in my car and head to McDonalds to get my regular breakfast and head off to my first class.

English was my first class, nothing really interesting happened, same tired old presentation. Eventually I learned a couple of my classmates' names, one guy's name is Owen. 

He seems pretty cool. I learned he is Bisexual which was interesting to me personally. I'm straighter than a pencil but I don't mind the LGBT Community. They are pretty open minded and friendly people and easy to make quick friends.

 I talked to Owen a bit and learned he plays xbox which was dope. 

The bell rang before we got too deep into convo, so I gathered my stuff and headed to my next class which was what again..? Chemistry with Killigen? I wonder if he's a good teacher. 

As I was walking to my next class I was walking with Owen and asked if he knew Killigen

"Oh Mr. Killigen? Yea he's super chill you'll like him he's pretty chill"

 So he doesn't sound bad. I thanked Owen and said cya when he got to his class.

 I found Chem class and entered. I found a seat near the front for quick entry and exit. 

Mr. Killigen had a presentation but it was about the same but he actually talked about some of the previous jobs he had which was cool. Other than that I tuned the rest of that class out and just played some games on my phone waiting for the bell to ring so I could go to lunch.

 Some time later the bell rang but before I could leave Mr. Killigen stopped at my desk and said "Could I talk to you for a sec?" I replied "Sure?" I was a bit confused, after everyone left I walked over to his desk "you wanted to talk?" I asked.

 He looked at me with a stern look "I noticed you were on your phone the entirety of class today-" 

I realized at this point that I was gonna be in trouble 

"Now since it is the first day of school... I'm gonna say this didn't happen and I better not see it again or I'm taking the phone got it?" I nodded and just said "yes sir my bad". 

He looked at his computer and said well I'm not gonna hold you from lunch much longer and honestly I'm hungry so how about we head to lunch and forget this interaction happened and start off on the right foot?" 

I agreed and we walked to lunch and talked about how we think the football team is gonna do this year. "Honestly I think we are gonna do ok but not make it too terribly far because our team has rookies and they are all really cocky." 

Mr. Killigen agreed "I understand that but I think if they push past that we could make it to state." I got to lunch after a bit more chat and found out he is pretty cool and just graduated from College.

 I sat down and while I was eating I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off with Mr. Killigen.
