Asu is the girl who always woke up at five o'clock to run around the track and warm up. She was thrust into sports when she was five and genuinely enjoyed them. She did track, swimming, diving, and gymnastics. She quit gymnastics when she was ten because of the competitive pressure. Her dad took her for a morning jog every single day. Her happy personality is a front to hide the fact that she's grieving for her mother who passed due to cancer. She keeps this fact hidden because she doesn't want her friends and teammates to worry. Taro admires her for her determination and strength.
