It was the battle day, I spent the whole day at my home, doing nothing and overthinking everything that happened. I was puzzled and didn't know what to do.
I looked at the clock, it got dark already, it was 8 PM, the battle had probably already started. Suddenly, Yeni texted me
Yeni: choco, put some warm clothes on and come outside, I'm right in front of your apartment. my heart began to beat very quickly because I was not prepared for her to suddenly appear, i thought she was at the battle. I knew I wouldn't be able to hide anything from her but I wasn't in the mood to talk about anything either.
I put my favorite oversized jacket on and rushed to meet yeni.

Yeni cho: hey choco, you alright?
The moment i saw Yeni, I couldn't help but feel like I should at least try to keep it together for her sake.
"I'm doing fine yeni, thanks for checking up."
Yeni: Choco, are you really not gonna compete anymore? she looked at me for a few seconds with a concerned look, then continued talking "i have to tell you something...so do you remember when i said that me and Ellie talked for a bit in the bathroom at the club? i said that we talked about something and it was better if she told you herself, and i still think the same, but i can't help but feel like i have to tell you at least our yesterday's conversation to save the situation..."
The moment Yeni started mentioning the night from the club, all the memories and thoughts instantly came rushing back into my head again. I remembered that they were talking in the bathroom for a while. I was hoping it was nothing bad, but the words she was saying were starting to seem increasingly negative...
yeni: So yesterday, when you left, Ellie was looking for you and asked me where you were.
she was...looking for me? but why? i thought she would feel better if i left.
"Go on..." i tell yeni while i listen impatiently.
yeni: Basically... she told me, that she wanted you to know that she really wanted to talk, but couldn't, and also she was not mad anymore, she just got jealous.
"she...what?"
BATTLE ARENA: 10 MINUTES BEFORE THE BATTLE AND YENI'S VISIT TO CHOCOL
7:50 PM
halo: are you sure this is gonna work? what if chocol doesn't agree?
yeni: I have no doubt our plan will work, they need to know the truth and this is the only way..
halo: hurry up, go before the battle starts.
ELLIE'S POV
I can't believe i decided to battle today, it was so unlikely of me, but Natty encouraged me, she said that it would help me. i tried not to think about chocol, and of course it didn't work, she was all i was thinking about and i was mad at myself for loving such woman, and in the back of my mind, i really wanted her to be there.
Halo: ELLIE... ELLIE!! HAS SOMEONE SEEN ELLIE??
The moment Halo began frantically calling my name I felt my heart begin to beat a bit faster. I wasn't sure what she wanted to talk about but the way she was looking at me made it seem like she had some very serious news to share. I didn't know if this was a good thing or a bad thing but I decided to just listen and hear her out.
Halo: ellie! please listen to me you have to listen to me ! this is important

Halo: it's a long story but I'm willing to explain everything if you just let me, please just hear me out this once, you need to know the truth, chocol didn't kiss bada, they're not dating!
I actually got startled.
After hearing Halo speak, my heart dropped. I was upset, but i had to hear Halo's explanation in full, even if it meant my feelings towards Chocol would change once again. After that, i couldn't believe what i just heard...
CHOCOL'S POV, OUTSIDE THE APARTMENT
8:05 PM
"is she there? yeni, is she at the battle?" i said with a desperation in my voice
I was starting to get really impatient by the second, after all we still had a few minutes left before her battle. could feel that intense nervousness start to build up in my body, but a few seconds later I would be relieved by the answer.
"She's there," Yeni had replied back. oh! and she said you're hot in the bathroom that day, by the way!
"I'm going there,yeni, i have to see her and talk to her" - The moment Yeni had confirmed that Ellie was here I didn't even wait for another second. wait...she said WHAT? I immediately ran as fast as i could. My heart began to race even faster as I started to make my way towards the area. It was raining, I could already hear the cheers from the crowd as they were beginning to gather up for the battle. I quickly increased my speed as I made my way over to the area where Ellie should've been.
I can't believe she actually wanted to talk to me and sort things out, i was relieved that i could finally talk to her and explain everything, i needed to do everything right.
ELLIE'S POV
I can't believe i misinterpreted everything, so they didn't actually kiss and ... oh my god, this is too much information...and I'm so stupid..
"oh my god Halo , i need to see her-"
Halo: good thing is, she's gonna be here any second... so...so she was actually going to compete? the mere thought of just seeing her was making me feel more and more flustered by the second, i needed to see her, i needed to see her right now, i rushed outside, it was raining but i didn't care, i just wanted to see her. i ran outside to look for her, but suddenly I froze.
... wait....g-gayoung?..
CHOCOL'S POV I was running with all my power to not be late and i finally saw her...running outside. she looked breathless. the moment I saw her I stopped in my tracks and I could feel my chest tighten. I looked directly at Ellie and I didn't know how she would react when she would see me, but I couldn't help but feel a slight wave of hope in that moment.
MC: AAAND OUR NEXT BATTLERS ARE...CHOCOL AND BADA LEE!
