My eyes darted to the blonde haired bastard. His entire demeanour reeked with the affection he had towards my love. If not for him being the son of a family friend, I would of long since had his neck sliced with the wrenched blade of my sword.

Emmeline's smile glows. I can't believe she's entertaining him, it's as if she's choosing to fuel my rage, if she is — it's definitely working.

Rich laughed in my ear, I tried my best to focus on the conversation, hoping it distracted me from the scene playing from the corner of my eyes. “Your father would of been proud, when we were younger he always spoke so grately in regards to how he'd raise his children.” I smiled, trying my best to accept the compliment. It's hard, especially when it's from the guy who's son is opening eyeing my love. “Thank you Commander. I hope my father feels joy in knowing what I do is in his name.”

I pretended, my blood was boiling. Staring back, Emme was completely mirrored in the eyes of Arthur. His eyes have no decency. With every raging cord in my being I wanted to gulge them out. If he could not unsee her willingly, then he will by force.

Even if it costs me my built relation with his nation. I do not care. The affection I feel towards Emmeline is far greater then the duties expected of me as a ruler.
