It was the middle of the afternoon when Nicki finally left Beyoncé's suite. Excitement filled her mind at the prospect of Beyoncé calling her later, and hearing her voice stroke her eardrums. She treasured every moment with her, every memory, every trinket; all representing her love for Beyoncé.

Nicki didn't try to take her mind off of Beyoncé. She was stuck in her orbit and had no plans on leaving. She remembered the soft touches and the tender kisses, just before Beyoncé had fucked her like a slut. She loved every second and every word Beyoncé said to her. The way she felt would be irrational if their connection wasn't so strong. Beyoncé had been everything Nicki needed, always. She longed to keep her close through each moment of her day and cherished the strand of hair, she had collected from the bathtub.

Rihanna was letting Lauren taste her drink when Nicki walked into the cafe. If you didn't know any better you'd think the two were on a date, as they spoke amongst themselves waiting for Nicki to arrive.

"Hey guys," Nicki muttered nervously to her friends. She was worried they hadn't forgiven her, that they still thought she'd chosen Beyoncé over them.

"Im really sorry guys. I didn't mean to blow you off. I just didn't really know how to say no to her" Nicki gulped. "I got so wrapped up in her I kind of forgot how much I love you guys too"

Lauren smiled weakly. She knew Nicki wasn't a bad person. It was easy to get wrapped up in someone especially when it's something new. "It's all good," she responded, nodding gently. She hated the awkward feeling of apologies. "I'm sorry I was so harsh, I really shouldn't have said all that" she looked down ashamed of herself. It was wrong of her to bring up Nickis past like that. Nicki had grown since then - high school was years ago.

Nicki nodded and released a heavy sigh before sliding into the chair opposite Rihanna. Neo-soul played softly over the speakers as Nicki silently commended her friends on finding this place. "It was a little harsh but I'm glad you said that Lo. It made me think a lot about our relationship and what it really is," Nicki chewed her lower lip. "I asked her to call me later so that we can talk about it. — If - if that's ok? Sorry I didn't think we had plans for later but if we do—"

"Nicki relax" Rihanna spoke up then. She'd been quiet up until now, but Nicki needed to stop overthinking and calm down.

Nicki chewed her lip. "I'm sorry Rih," she added in a whisper, her voice barely audible. Rihanna had been the angry one but most of that was on Lauren's behalf. Still, she deserved an apology too "I should've listened to you and just cancelled straight away. I just didn't think"

"I know" Rihanna nodded. "But it's all good Nicki, we're here for you. I'm sorry I got so mad," Rihanna assured before taking a sip of her own drink.

"It's okay" Nickis voice was still weak. Her friends forgiveness meant a lot to her. It meant they still saw her as a friend despite her actions. She loved them so much, they'd always been there for her.

Her friends, sensing that Nicki wanted to move on, started talking about music and movies instead. There was a new movie out they both wanted to see and Lauren rested her head on Rihanna's shoulder allowing the island girl to stroke through her hair. They got carried away chatting and barely noticed Nickis silence. Unfortunately, Nicki was still stuck thinking about Beyoncé. During their conversation later, she wondered if Beyoncé would accept her feelings or would it be too much for the woman and would she run again from her true love. Nicki remained quiet, listening to her friends' lives unfolding before her, as they told her more about their plans for later. Nicki gripped her glass, getting lost in thought. It was still bothering her and she couldn't seem to shake it.

"What's up with you and that woman?" Lauren asked instantly sensing that Nickis problems went beyond their friendship. Nicki had been far too quiet to be okay.
