Death My Good Friend

I was sad and wrote this, it's really good and I wanted to share but trigger warning for depression.

Come closer to me, please

I see you in the corner of my room with a sad smile on your dry lips

I beckon you forward with a smile of my own

Tears dripping down my cheeks but a smile nonetheless

I open my arms

Come closer, please

Oh Death, please

My good friend, please hear my cries

We've talked so much these past years

I called for you countless times

But you stand there watching

I understand what that means

but please just comfort me

Oh Death, please

My good friend, please

Come to me already

I need you now more than ever

We've been together for so long

Why won't you embrace me?

I'm ready for this

I've said it before, and I've lied

But not anymore

I'm ready my friend

Please accept me,

Death

Just lie with me on my bed

Let us just sleep forever

Another nap in that poison forest, please

Let's just sleep for a hundred thousand years

Please Death

Im tired
