CRISTINA sat in the kitchen of the Hughes', the dark blue bikini top complimented her freshly tanned skin. Jack stood in the kitchen as well, both of them occupied on their phone screens. Even though they weren't as close as her and Luke ever were, they easily got along, and never felt awkward around each other.
" So what's going on with you and Luke?",
" Uh nothing", she shrugged, " I think we're just friends".
Jack nodded, " Would you get back with him?", he asked, fixing the hat on his head. Cristina didn't know how to respond, " Like I'm just asking in general. Since you're both gonna be at umich",
" Yeah I know what you mean. But I'm not sure, probably, but he ended it with me because it wasn't working for him at the time so",
" Yea well, he's an idiot sometimes", Jack smiled at her, the girl laughing softly before he left and headed outside to where Trevor, Cole, Luke and Ethan sat.
Cristina kept herself occupied, Luke then entering the house. " Why are you in here by yourself?",
" Just hanging out",
Luke hummed, grabbing himself a glass of water. " I know you've told me before but what are you studying at school next year?",
" I'm doing nursing, come on Lukey", Cristina teased.
" Sorry I know, should've remembered", he laughed, " That's a lot of school, and work".
She nodded, " Well I'll be rich and then can buy all kinds of stuff for myself",
" Well, seeing as I'm getting drafted to the devils, you could just live off my pay check", Luke said, somewhat joking.
" You better be joking",
He shrugged, " It's an option".
Cristina shook her head, " Of course I'll be your nhl wag, Luke", the boy smiling at her before placing his glass in the sink.
" Better rest up, 4th is tomorrow and Jessie's birthday", he said as he walked off back outside. Cristina just gave him a nod, heading out the front door and back to her own space.
