Start from the beginning

"I shouldn't have left you" Alicia whispered
Only loud enough for Cassandra to hear

"You didn't leave me I told you to go" The brunette replied smiling softly at Alicia as she hugged the girl closer to her. Nick watched there interaction as he stood beside them making sure they both were safe

"Madison I think Travis is—"

"No it's not your place—" Madison mumbled

"I don't wanna stay. I don't— I wanna go" Alicia jumped up running towards Madison and Travis

Travis tried to calm them but Alicia wasn't having it she was scared. They all we're especially Cassandra.

"I want to go to" Cassandra said looking up at Madison and Travis, who both glanced down at the girl. Sympathy and guilt feeling them, she lost her dad today and now she was looking to them, to keep her safe, to make the right call for her life
— she lost her dad today, which meant she was there responsibility now. To be fair Madison had always seen her as hers but now it was real

"Hold on, it is dark. We don't even know if the freeway is passable" Travis tried to reason with them

Nick watched the scene unfold infront of him. He was right, Travis was putting his family at risk.

"You expect us to wait here?" Madison challenged afraid for herself and her children

"'We'd be blind out there. It's Dangerous."

"And this isn't?"

"Inside, doors locked. We ride it out for the night, okay?" Travis questioned "We'll take care of each other. Trust me maddie we'll leave in the morning"

Madison shook her head before walking closer to Travis

"If we're staying here, you have to take care of Peter"

Anyone that could hear Madison knew she wasn't happy with Travis just by the way she spoke.

The family that Travis and brought in had taken Alicia's room. So Nick, Cassandra and Alicia were all in Nick's room.

Cassandra laid between the Clark siblings,
Alicia was drifting in and out of sleep. She was scared so she was trying to fight it but she was also tired. Nick didn't want to go to sleep he laid beside them both his head resting on the head board. He wasn't there to protect either of them and it scared him. He let out a deep breath

"Nick what's wrong?" Cassandra questioned, he dropped his eyes down to meet hers a soft smile appearing on his face, he loved the way she looked at him,
He didn't know how to describe it but he loved It

"Nothing" he mumbled, reaching for her hand. Tracing soft patterns with his thumb as he held it

"Do you remember when we were all little and all three of us could fit in this bed with no problem because Alicia always wanted to join our sleepovers?" Cassandra asked trying to distract him from whatever was wrong since she he wasn't going to tell her but she knew he was lying

"Yeah and I always wanted her to go away because I had the biggest crush on you"

Cassandra let out a soft laugh
"You loved spending time with Alicia dont lie. I had never seen other siblings as close as you guys we're"
