"yall sthu allat yelling in my house for nun" kaori says checking her children.

"whatcha making mommy?" London asks going through the pots n pans that are displayed on the stove.

"Girl get the hell out my shit." Kaori says slapping London's hand.

"But I'm making collard greens, baked BBQ chicken, cornbread n Mac & cheese." She says stiring the collard greens.

"Ma what you had to talk to us about?" Remy says coming out the pantry with some fruit snacks.

"Ouu gimme some." LonLon says to her big brother holding out her hands.

"Girl getcha own shit" Remy said to her rolling his eyes.

"Aye what I tell yall about coming in my house cursing n shit. Atleast doing it when I'm not around." She said popping Remy on his shoulder mumbling the last part.

"Anyways yall grandma invited us to a cookout on Saturday." Kaori says with a hopeful smile even tho today is Wednesday.

"Who all gone be dere?" LonLon asks skeptical about why her mom wanted them to know that.

"Umm well yall cousins, uncles and aunties." She tells them staring directly at them.

Not all of their mom side of the family was weird, it was just mostly their uncles wives who like to judge them thinking their better than them n shit.

"Ma now yk we don't like dem folks. yo ppl is weird n fake." London responds immediately.

"yea ma I'm not going to dat shit." Remy says agreeing with his lil sister.

"Well how bout we stay for atleast 2 hours max. It start at 2 so we could leave at 4 if they start dtm." Kaori says cs she would never make her kids do sum they didn't want to do n plus she knew how apart of her members of her family got.

"alr, dats cool. Is there anything else you gotta tell us?" Remy said grabbing his keys about to go.

"Damn you Inna rush who you bouta to go see?" LonLon says with a knowingly smile.

"Girl" Remy said side-eyeing her.

Truth be told he was bouta to go see monie cs they had plans to go somewhere today ever since they started to become close.

"Ouu my sonson den got him a girl. I'm I bouta to get some grandkids? Who is it LonLon?" kaori says asking a million questions in joking and being serious at the same time manner.

"Ma it's this girl name mo-" London was bout to say until Remy covered ha mouth.

"Aht nah ma you'll meet her soon, but we en official yet we just getting to know each other rn." Remy says genuinely wanting to takes things at a slower pace with the girl. Not wanting anything to mess up what they got going on.

"Well ok Remy, but all ik is she better not be like that lil fast ass girl veah." His mother says giving him a lil lecture.

Veah was Remy last girl who ended up cheating on him with ha coworker. She claimed they had nun going on until he caught her in the act of them having sex in their bed when he got home from doing a hit.

"Mmk ma anything else?" Remy asks her one last time.

"No that's all, but yall can make yall plates before yall go cs Ik yall be busy. I love yall be safe." Kaori said giving her kids hugs n kisses before going upstairs to watch baddies east after she cut off everything in the kitchen.

After both London and Remy fixed their to-go plates. London asks " where you bout to go?"

"Business getchu some" Remy replies to his sister walking out the house door.

"Sassy ass nigga" London mumbles under her breath while locking their mom's front door before walking off to her black Audi e-tron GT.
