6) Parties and Dates

She didn't do dates. Or anything with emotions really. She was a black hole that sucked everyone's fun straight out of them and into her bottomless pit. So she was surprised when she accepted this boy called Tom in her history class's invitation to get coffee. She convinced herself that it was probably a friend date and nothing more and shockingly she had fun. She actually enjoyed herself with someone who was not in her immediate friendship group and yet even though this boy was interesting and even though she had fun, she kept on picturing his face instead of Toms' and wondering what he would have said in response. God, she needed a drink.
