13. Isabelle's Pehli Rasoi

Start from the beginning

And that's how it all unfolded. "Oh, I see!" Sage responded with a forced smile. As we all savored the sweetness of the desserts, I overheard Aahan whispering to Sage, "Canim, weren't you in the kitchen stirring the milk?" What? Why would Sage be there? Did she... no, no, she wouldn't do that. As we finished our sweets, my mother presented me with a beautiful diamond set as a gift. It was truly a stunning piece.

As I made my way towards our room, someone unexpectedly pulled me in.

Aahan stood there, his mischievous smile growing wider as he watched my reaction. His playful demeanor always brought a sense of excitement and anticipation to any encounter we had. "What's up?" I asked, unable to hide my curiosity.

"Bhabhi, you cooked an amazing meal," he complimented, his eyes twinkling with delight. "If I come here every day to eat your delicious food, would that be okay?" he inquired, his voice filled with a mischievous charm that was hard to resist.

I chuckled at his request, appreciating his lightheartedness. "Feel free to come anytime," I replied, my smile matching his. Aahan's presence always brought a sense of joy and warmth to our home, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for his friendship.

"Oh, and by the way, I brought a gift for you," he said, his voice filled with excitement. "I completely forgot to give it to you at the wedding." With a swift motion, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a stunning bracelet, its intricate design catching the light.

My eyes widened in surprise as he presented the gift to me. "This is from Nav's company, a special bestie bond gift," he explained, his voice filled with sincerity. "I wanted to give it to you as a symbol of the start of our friendship. Look, I have one too." He held up his wrist, revealing a matching bracelet adorning his arm. "Will you wear it?" he asked, his eyes searching mine for a response.

Instead of answering, I simply extended my hand towards him, a gesture that spoke volumes. Aahan's face lit up with a radiant smile, his eyes sparkling with gratitude and happiness. In that moment, we both understood the significance of this simple exchange. It was more than just a bracelet; it was a symbol of the bond we had formed, a promise to always be there for each other.

As he delicately placed the bracelet on my wrist, a sense of warmth and contentment washed over me. Our friendship had blossomed from the moment we met, and this gift only solidified the connection we shared.

As he was about to leave, I couldn't resist the urge to ask him a burning question that had been on my mind. "Are you and Sage in a relationship?" I blurted out, unable to contain my curiosity any longer. Aahan's expression immediately shifted, his eyes widening in surprise and his mouth slightly agape. Caught off guard by my inquiry, he struggled to find the right words to respond.

"I...uh...well," Aahan stammered, his voice betraying a mix of astonishment and uncertainty. He glanced around nervously as if searching for an escape from the unexpected interrogation. "I...we...I mean, Sage and I are just...friends," he finally managed to utter, his voice trailing off uncertainly.

I couldn't help but notice the subtle signs of affection between them during breakfast earlier that morning. The way they held hands under the table, and the stolen glances they exchanged, it was hard to ignore. Sensing his discomfort, I decided to offer a friendly piece of advice. "Perhaps it would be wise to be a bit more discreet," I suggested, a mischievous smile playing on my lips.

Aahan's surprise deepened, his eyebrows furrowing as he tried to process my words. "You...you noticed that?" he asked, his voice tinged with a mixture of embarrassment and disbelief. It was clear that he hadn't expected anyone to pick up on their subtle gestures of affection.

With a playful wink, I turned to make my way towards our shared room, leaving Aahan in a state of flustered surprise. As I walked away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at having caught him off guard. It was a small victory, a moment of lighthearted teasing that would surely bring a smile to my face later.

As I stepped into our room, I was greeted with a sarcastic remark from Naveen ji, "Agar aapka sabse milna hogaya ho, toh kripya aap apne pati ko thoda vakt de payengi?"

I was taken aback and asked,"Naveen ji aap ye kya ke rahe hai?"

He replied, tauntingly,"Haan haan aapko toh ab meri baatei aapko samjhengi hi nahi."

Confused, I inquired, "But what happened?"

He explained,"Abhi, subah jab hum nashta karne baithe the, usske baad maine aapse aakhon se isshare karte hua kaha tha ki room mein aane, aur uss baat ko hogaye hai aadha ghanta." he said

"Ye kab hua?" I thought in my mind. "Acha jab apne aakhon ki binduon ko aise jor se ek taraf matkaya tha, uska matlab ye tha? Mujhe laga aapko Nystagmus ho gaya ki kya!" I exclaimed

"Nysta kya - madarchod ye kya hota hai?" he retorted.

I rolled my eyes at his ignorance and explained, "Nystagmus is a condition where the eyes make involuntary, repetitive movements. Aapko vaise bhi number ke chasme hai, isliye mujhe laga kabhi kabhi ho jate honge."

"Listen here, I don't have that Gamus or whatsoever. Mujhe tum yaha room mei chaiye thi."

"Now, I am here, so tell me" I said.

"I'll rather prefer showing." Saying this he pulled me towards himself smashing his lips on mine.I couldn't help but feel a mix of surprise and confusion as he abruptly changed the topic and pulled me closer, passionately kissing me. My mind raced, trying to make sense of the sudden shift in our conversation. It was unexpected, to say the least, and I found myself momentarily lost in the intensity of the moment.

As the kiss deepened, I couldn't deny the electric connection between us. It was as if all the words we had exchanged moments ago had been swept away by this unexpected display of affection. My initial annoyance at his lack of knowledge and his dismissive response seemed to fade into the background as our lips moved in sync.

Breaking away from the kiss, I looked into his eyes, searching for answers. "What was it that you wanted to tell me?" I asked, my voice filled with a mix of curiosity and caution.

"Here, he forwarded me a pendant. I got this for you as your pehli rasoi gift. I liked the dishes." Enveloping me in a warm embrace, he nestled his face against the curve of my neck, his lips planting tender caresses upon my skin, each kiss imbued with a whisper of desire. Slowly, he ventured closer, his breath tickling my ear as he spoke in that resonant voice that never failed to stir my senses,

"Right now, I'm just imagining how delicious your handmade food is, and I can't help but think that you'll be just as irresistible. I can hardly wait to have you.." saying this he left the room.
