Isabelle's POV -

It's been more than a month since Naveen ji and I finalized our marriage plans. Due to my ongoing finals, I haven't started my residency yet. However, after the past busy month, I finally have a three-month break before beginning my residency. We decided to get married this month so that we can spend at least two months together. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to meet each other for the past month. I was busy with my exams, and Naveen ji was occupied with wrapping up his meetings to have this month free. We used to text each other, and whenever I called him, he would remind me to focus on my studies first. During our video chats, he would even make me study in front of him. But now, I don't need to study anymore because my exams are over. Today, we will be attending our Pre-Cana session.

Pre-Cana is a marriage preparation course and pre-wedding counseling required for couples who want to have a Catholic wedding. We wisely chose to attend this course over the weekend. Our Catholic wedding will take place in the vibrant city of New York, while the Indian wedding will be held in the enchanting city of Udaipur. The purpose of Pre-Cana is to provide us with the necessary tools and knowledge to enter into marriage fully prepared, with realistic expectations and a deep understanding of the commitment we are making to each other.

We both decided to directly meet in the church. And here we are both sitting in the church in our Pre-Cana session. During the Pre-Cana session, we were guided through various topics such as communication, conflict resolution, financial management, and the importance of faith in our relationship.

After our conversation with the priest, we made the decision to hold our wedding on the initial Sunday of this month. As we were leaving the church, I turned to Naveen ji, my fiancé, and inquired, "Do you have any plans for this evening?" Curiously, he responded, "Why do you ask?"

I smiled mischievously and replied, "Oh! I was thinking of inviting you over for dinner at my place. Would you be interested?" He agreed, saying, "Sure, I'd love to join you."

"Alright then, goodbye for now. See you soon," I said, preparing to head home and make arrangements for our special evening. However, Naveen ji stopped me and requested, "Wait, can I have a goodbye hug?"

Surprised by his request, I exclaimed, "What? It's usually a goodbye kiss."

He chuckled softly and explained, "Yes, but I want our first kiss to be on our wedding altar. Okay?"

His words melted my heart, and I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement for our upcoming wedding. I nodded, feeling a mix of anticipation and love, and we embraced tightly, savoring the warmth of each other's presence. After our heartfelt hug, we reluctantly let go and went our separate ways, me hopping into my sleek Porsche and him stepping into his luxurious Jaguar. As I drove home, my mind was filled with thoughts of the beautiful future we were about to embark on together.

Arriving at my place, I busied myself with preparing a romantic dinner for the two of us. The aroma of freshly cooked food filled the air, creating an inviting atmosphere. I set the table with care, ensuring everything was perfect for our intimate evening.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the room, I eagerly awaited Naveen ji's arrival. It was half past 8 when I had started waiting for him and now it was nearly 11. Won't he come? But he promised me that he will. Just as I checked my phone I saw a text from Naveen ji which was sent to me around 9 - I won't be able to come. Got some work pending. No sooner did I read the message, than I heard my doorbell ring.

Naveen's POV -

After my conversation with Isabelle, it became evident that she was also putting in some effort. Determined to meet her by 8, I swiftly completed my tasks at work. As I stepped into my office, I stole a glance at the clock and realized it was already 4 o'clock. Perfect, I had four hours to spare. Let's get this accomplished.
