Ashlyns POV

We go into studio A and get ready for chalkboard. I sit between Brooke and Chloe and we see miss Abby walk in disappointed

"Phoenix was rough. You guys got your butts kicked. Here in Pittsburgh you have won everything but it's clearly a different story when you get on a plane and fly across the country. For years, I took the kids by myself. I made sure their hair was right, I made sure the makeup was right, I put the headpiece on. All the mothers want to go now because they are reliving their childhood through all of you and that's when the trouble happens. I am the leader, I am the teacher. You do what I say. When your mother's telling you something else to do that becomes conflict. Do you understand that? Now Nia, how do you think you did?"

"Well...I think we could have improved" Nia says

"What do you need to improve?" Miss abby asks

"Pointing my feet"

"Yeah. very sloppy, the feet, the legs, the shoulders, your arms. The same mistake over and over and over and that pulls the group down." Miss abby says

"Chloe the headband was bad. Next time, what are you gonna do?" Miss abby asks Chloe

"Make sure my headpiece stays on" Chloe says

"Could you have prevented that?"

Chloe nods

"Yes...okay, the new number will be called 'electricity'. Everybody say that"

"Electricity" me and the girls say

Miss abby turns around the chalkboard and I'm a little confused cause I won my solo and I'm still second

"Maddie, because you were great this weekend, you didn't give me any trouble, your mother didn't give me any trouble you're gonna be in the front in the center for the beginning of the routine."

"Everybody's goal should be here. Yes?" Miss abby says pointing to Maddies headshot

"Okay, three solos will be competing. Maddie, you will be doing one of your solos, Chloe you will be doing one of your solos, and Ashlyn you will be doing one also."

"All right, everybody up. I want to start this number. Moms, you are dismissed. Thank you." Miss abby says and our moms leave the room while we stretch

Five days to competition

"Up, down, down. Switch split, step, hit, ball change.

"Sassy. That's not skipping"

"Step up and it's like, huh! Yeah?" Miss abby says demonstrating it to Nia

"Throw it out there. Do it again"

"One and two, push, pretty. You have to be really hot, sexy. Make it like you're 17 years old"

"Five, six, seven, eight, you set the tone for the whole dance, Chloe. You have to be amazing."

"And one, two, turn those hands in. More butt. It's all about the butt."

"Ashlyn, look at me you have to be sexy. If you are the judges will love that, yes?"

I nod

I don't really know what sexy mean but if miss Abby knows what the judges want I think it's good.

Three days to competition
