AFFILIATION. The Patriots, the largest rebel group in The Democratic States, whose presence is obscured by the mass media. They are a militant group who meet in the underground, namely the tunnels beneath the city. They have a strict agenda and often work by spoiling transport chains, sabotaging the shipment of weapons by trucks and planes through attacks on airports and highway systems. They, in Day, seek to place a spy high-up in the States' hierarchy.

PERSONALITY. Day is a man who has lived in lies and secrets for so long, that he worries he no longer knows the truth. He is a militant rebel, and yet one without any attachment to anyone. He was raised without a family. He was raised only with a cause. He is a hardened individual as a result, despite being young, and as a result of his upbringing, is a duplicitous individual. He plays a role. In the privacy of his own home, he is tough. He is hardened. He is a man apart from society. He lives by his own rules, although as a militant, he follows orders— when they suit him. He refuses to follow orders he feels do not advance the cause of the Patriots. He is vicious, one raised in the cause and who has never known anything else besides it. He makes his own suggestions, even to higher leadership, and has since he was young. He is a bold individual, that much is certain. However, as a spy, as the side he shows to others, he is more demure. He is friendly. He is humble and sweet. He doesn't even know why he's here, but he's just so grateful for the opportunity. He can come off as self-deprecating. He understands that he isn't as good, really, he does. He insists on depicting himself in a certain way in order to win friends, and that way is non-threatening. He is grateful. He understands that he is a charity case, and really, he's just happy for the opportunity. He's willing to help others rather than shine himself. He's a great listener (or rather, receiver of your communication)– and unknown to them, an even better memorizer. He portrays himself as clumsy in some ways, off the field of combat, and even there, he underplays his hand at times to avoid making himself enemies. He can disappear as he pleases, slinking under the radar. He can enter a room and you might not even know he was there. Day lies as easily as he speaks, possessing a silver tongue. He is frustratingly disobedient. He struggles with real human connection, rather than its imitation. He grew up his entire life without it. He struggles with boundaries as a result. He doesn't care about the preferences of others. He has no regard for privacy. If he thinks he can get away with it, he'll go through your phone and all your cabinets. He'll record all your conversations. He'll feed you directly to his superiors who want nothing more than to eek every last bit they can from you, duping you until the end. He doesn't feel guilty. He is dismantling a system from the inside. However, this lack of human connection makes him vulnerable to it. He tries to keep himself from forming human connections that are too real, because he fears what he may do if he succumbs to them. He is strict with himself. He sees himself as younger than he is– really just an abandoned orphan, one who is alone in this world besides a cause and besides allies in that cause.
