I could feel Fenrir licking my face telling me to wake up. I got up slowly and carefully. My body ached from crying so much and also the lack of sleeping. Last night was rough, I kept waking up from bad dreams, then cry, and then go back to sleep, only to be woken again.

In all my thinking, I hadn't even noticed I was staring at the mirror. I moved my eyes to look at my face, but looked away when I remembered that there was a large hand print on it.

I was about to lay down again when there was a knock on my door.

"Who is it?"

"It's me darling." My grandmothers voice came from the other side.

"Come in." I replied.

She walked in and stopped when she saw me.

"Good morning Nadia. How are you feeling?"

"I've been better."

"Oh Natalia," She pulled me into hug. It was one of those special hugs that you can only get from a mother. The one where they just seem to absorb you and you feel all nice and warm, then they start stroking your back and it's like nothing can hurt you. I always felt this way with my best friends mom, never Erica. "I am so sorry you had to experience that last night." She pulled away and looked at me.

"It's not your fault grandmother, it's mine." I looked down at Fenrir, who was peacefully lying in my lap.

"Natalia. It is not your fault." Frigga said in a stern tone. "It was your fathers and his alone. He was angry and stressed, but he had no right to take it out on you."

"But he was angry and stressed because of me. I didn't tell him where I was going or when I would be back. He had every right to be mad at me." I tried to explain.

Frigga just looked at me with a sad look.

"Um, I don't really feel like doing anything today. The crying sort of wore me out."

"I'm glad you said that. because today, I want to teach you some magic."

I looked up at her in shock. "Really?"

"Yes, and I already have two easy spells for today." She got up and walked towards a book shelf.

No no no! What am I going to do? Erica told me not to tell anyone!

Frigga set an old, leather book on my lap, and smiled. Meanwhile I was having a mental break down.

Frigga's smile dropped. "Is something wrong dear?"

I should tell her. I mean Frigga has magic too, she would understand. Besides, Erica specifically told me not to tell any humans about my powers.

I took a deep breath and looked and my grandmother. "Grandmother, there's something I need to tell you." She continued to look at me concerned. "I... already... kind of... have... magic."

She was silent for a second.

Oh god. I let out my secret for no reason. I'm a freak and now she knows it. She was probably lying about the magic. She probably meant science or something like that, not actually Harry Potter magic.

"That's fantastic!"

I looked at her surprised. "It is?"

"Of course, i would have been concerned if you already didn't have a little bit of magic in you. After all you mother was greatest sorceress in all the nine realms and your father is a close second. So it is only right that you would have magic flowing through your veins at a young age. Now tell me, what spells can you do?" You could tell that she was excited.
