{The four of them walk with their trunks and Harry, Jayson and Ron drop off their pets. They drop them off by the rest of the luggage.}

Jayson: See you Noxy.

Harry: See you Hedwig.

{They walk up the steps}

Harry: So a house elf shows up in my bedroom, we can't get through the barrier to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, we almost get killed by a tree... clearly someone doesn't want me here this year.

Jayson: I second that, mate.

{They stop. ARGUS FILCH stands at the top of the landing, his cat -- MRS. NORRIS -- twitching her tail at his feet.}

"Oh great, it's him." Sirius groans

Filch: Well, take a good look, lads. This night might well be the last you spend in this castle.

{The four of them glance at each other}

Filch: Oh, dear, we are in trouble. {Smiles evilly}

{Snape office}

{The Evening Prophet ENTERS FRAME. The HEADLINE reads: FLYING FORD ANGLIA MYSTIFIES MUGGLES. Below the fold a PHOTO shows Harry and Lockhart at Flourish and Blotts. CAMERA PULLS BACK, PROFESSOR SEVERUS SNAPE stands at his desk, newspaper in hand as Harry and Ron stare with dread, while Jayson and Lucy stand there not looking intimidated. Filch lurks in the doorway, eying them with pleasure.}

Snape: You were seen! By no less then seven Muggles. {Throws down the paper} Do you have any idea how serious this is? You have risked the exposure of our world. Not to mention the damage you inflicted on a Whomping Willow that has been on these grounds for hundreds of years.

Ron: Honestly, Professor Snape, I think it did more damage to us.

"It really did though, but he's more concerned about a tree."

Snape: Silence! I assure you, were you in Slytherin and your fate rested with me, the both of you would be on the train home tonight. As it is --

Dumbledore: Enough.

Harry: Professor Dumbledore. Professor McGonagall.

Snape: These boys...and girl...have flouted the Decree for the Restriction of Underage Wizardry. As such...

Dumbledore: I'm well aware of our bylaws, Severus, having written more than a few myself. However, as Head of Gryffindor House, it is for Professor McGonagall to determine the appropriate action.

Jayson: I'll go get my stuff than.

McGonagall: What are you talking about, Mr. Potter?

{Harry, Ron and Lucy look at Jayson in confusion}

Jayson: Your going to expel me, aren't you?

McGonagall: Weren't all of you involved in this?

Jayson: No, it's not their fault, Professor. It's my fault, it was my idea to take the car, I forced them to come along, I didn't check to see if anybody was watching and plus, I was driving. If your going to expel someone...expel me.

{Harry, Lucy and Ron were about to protest, but Jayson gave them a look saying "don't"}

"Mr. Potter, why did you lie? McGonagall asked curiously

"I lied because I didn't want Harry to go back to the Dursleys, he's suffered enough over there. I knew Ron would get trouble, but not as much as me if I took the blame and I wanted to protect Lucy. I thought, if I took the blame, then they would stay at Hogwarts and I'll be okay with accepting the consequences." Jayson answered
