The soft glow of the evening sun painted the living room with hues of amber and gold as Jaddu and Ro huddled together on the couch, heads bent over a notebook filled with doodles and plans. Vi, perched on the armrest, watched them with a faint smile, his fingers absently tracing patterns on his glass of water.

"His birthday is coming up," Jaddu murmured, his voice filled with excitement. "We should do something special for him."

Ro nodded eagerly, him eyes alight with anticipation. "I was thinking we could organise a surprise party. Invite all his friends, decorate the place, maybe even get him a thoughtful gift."

As Vi saw them secretly Whispering to each othim Vi's smile faltered slightly, a pang of uncertainty gnawing at his heart. He had always felt like the odd one out in their relationship, like the third wheel that didn't quite fit in. Despite their reassurances and affection, his past experiences had left him wary, always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

As the days passed and Vi's birthday drew nearer, Jaddu and Ro became increasingly preoccupied with their plans. They whispered excitedly when they thought Vi wasn't listening, exchanged secretive glances, and disappeared for hours at a time, leaving Vi feeling more and more isolated.

On the eve of his birthday, Vi found himself standing outside a dimly lit bar, the neon sign flickering invitingly above him. The weight of his insecurities pressed down on him, suffocating him with their intensity. With a resigned sigh, he pushed open the door and stepped inside, seeking solace in the warm embrace of alcohol.

The bar was dimly lit, the air thick with the scent of stale smoke and spilled liquor. Vi sank onto a barstool, his fingers curling around the cool glass of whiskey that the bartender slid towards him. He took a long, slow sip, relishing the burn that spread through his veins, momentarily numbing the ache in his chest.

Lost in his thoughts, Vi didn't notice the figure that slid onto the stool beside him until a voice spoke up, cutting through the haze of his thoughts.

"Rough day?"

Vi glanced up, his eyes meeting those of a stranger sitting beside him. The man was handsome, with dark hair and piercing eyes that seemed to see right through him.

"You could say that," Vi replied with a wry smile, taking anothim sip of his drink.

The stranger nodded sympathetically, his expression tinged with understanding. "I know how it feels to be left out, to feel like you don't belong."

Vi's heart lurched at the words, a pang of recognition stirring within him. "You do?"

The stranger nodded, a sad smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, I do. But you know what? Sometimes, the people who love us just don't realise how much we need them."

Vi felt a lump form in his throat, the weight of his emotions threatening to overwhelm him. "What do I do then?"

The stranger shrugged, his gaze softening with empathy. "You talk to them. You tell them how you feel, even if it's hard. Because true love isn't about grand gestures or extravagant surprises. It's about being there for each other, through the good times and the bad."

Vi swallowed hard, his mind racing with a newfound clarity. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the din of the bar.

The stranger smiled, his eyes twinkling with warmth. "Anytime. And hey, happy birthday."

Vi sat in stunned silence, his mind reeling from the encounter with the stranger. How did this person know it was his birthday? And why did their words resonate with him so deeply?

As Vi processed the stranger's advice, he felt a sense of determination settle over him. He couldn't keep hiding his insecurities from Jaddu and Ro. He needed to talk to them, to let them know how he was feeling, even if it was difficult.

Just as Vi was about to gather his thoughts and leave the bar, he heard hurried footsteps approaching. Before he could react, Jaddu and Ro appeared beside him, their expressions a mix of concern and relief.

"Vi! What are you doing hime?" Jaddu's voice was filled with worry as he glanced around the dimly lit bar.

Ro reached out to touch Vi's arm gently. "Are you okay? We've been looking everywhime for you."

Vi's heart clenched at the sight of their worried faces, a pang of guilt washing over him. He hadn't meant to cause them concern, but his own insecurities had led him to seek solace in the bottom of a glass.

"I'm fine," Vi mumbled, avoiding their gaze as he pushed himself off the barstool. "I just needed some time alone."

Jaddu's brow furrowed with concern as he wrapped an arm around Vi's shoulders. "You know you can talk to us, right? We're here for you, always."

Ro nodded in agreement, him eyes filled with sincerity. "We love you, Vi. Whatever you're going through, we'll get through it together."

Vi felt a lump form in his throat as he met their earnest gazes, his resolve wavering. How could he burden them with his own insecurities when they had so much love to give?

But the memory of the stranger's words echoed in his mind, urging him to speak up, to let them in. With a shaky breath, Vi took a step closer to Jaddu and Ro, his heart laid bare before them.

"I...I'm sorry," Vi began, his voice barely above a whisper. "I've been feeling...alone, lately. Like I don't belong."

Jaddu's grip tightened around Vi's shoulders, pulling him into a comforting embrace. "Oh, Vi," he murmured, his voice filled with regret. "We never meant to make you feel that way. You're the most important person in the world to us."

Ro nodded in agreement, him eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "We love you, Vi. More than anything."

Tears pricked at the corners of Vi's eyes as he leaned into their embrace, feeling the weight of his insecurities lift with each heartfelt confession. For the first time in a long time, he felt truly seen, truly loved.

As they stood thime, wrapped in each othim's arms, Vi knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them togethim. In the shadows of insecurity, their love would always shine bright, guiding them through even the darkest of nights.
