(y/n) was fast asleep in his drop pod. The sound of his music drowning out the talking. He was suddenly hit in the head by his superior and woke up. He sat up and turned off his music.
Romeo: Wake up buttercup.
He was quickly shoved by his other teammate.
Dutch: Look I'm right behind ya, bitch...

(y/n) took the gun and looked at Dutch confused.
(y/n): What the hell did he just say to me?
He stored it at his side. The door to his pod closed and (y/n) began to quietly prepare himself.
(y/n): I'm finally doing this.
The pod began to spin and began to face out into space.
Dare[radio]: Latest Intel reports Covenant troops are massing beneath the barrier.
Buck[radio]: They're pulling back? Why?
Dare[radio]: We're not going to find out way up here.

All of the other ODST pods began to fall from the ship and back to earth. Finally (y/n)'s dropped and he began to fall. That's when he saw a destroyed UNSC ship floating in space.
Romeo[radio]: I take it back. Navy got its butt kicked.
Buck[radio]: Hey Romeo, remember when I said to shut your mouth?
Romeo[radio]: Yeah?

The pod broke through the clouds and he saw a large Covenant ship above the city.
Dutch[radio]: Captain, we're 15 clicks off the deck.
