Well, that’s it for me for today I’m headed home” I said packing my belongings that I brought with me
“Actually Ms.Y/l/n, Mr.Mckinny would like to see you” His assistant said stopping any movement I started
“Uh, do you know what this is about?” I asked as I walked side by side with the blonde
“I do not, my job is just to tell you your are needed not to interview the man as to why” She with attitude laced in her voice
“Who put a stick up yo ass this morning” I mumbled hoping she didn’t hear
“What was that?” She asked
“Huh?”
“You said something, didn’t you?”
“Huh? What? Girl no ian say nothing” I said
“Mhm, well here we are, hope you have a great meeting” She said before she walked away making me roll my eyes at the very noticeable attitude she clearly had with herself before brushing it off and knocking on my boss’s door before I heard a muffled ‘come in’
“You wanted to see me?” I asked slowly stepping in
“Yes, Ms.Jones I just wanted to talk to you about yesterday. Lock the door behind you please” He said and I did so
“You know it’s Ms.Y/l/n, I don’t know why you can’t call me that” I said with a small smile
“Because it’s a sorry ass last name Courtney” He said taking a few steps closer to me
“Watch it” I said as he came face to face with me put threw his hands up defensively with a smirk
“You sure do love to defend a last name a last name that you disrespect a lot” He said making me roll my eyes
“Here you go” I said about to step away until he taller man pulled me closer by my waist
“Ok, I’m sorry Courtney it’s just I don’t get it when you defend her and then turn around and your at my house” He said
“Because I still don’t want you disrespecting my wife Jaylen. I don’t care what we have going on, I love her and she’s my wife so stop” I said

I looked at him while I thought about it “I’ll get my best friend to watch him, what ti-” I was cut off by phone, looked at the number then back at Jaylen
“Who is it” He asked
“Y/n” I said making him roll his eyes as I answered and waited for the automated voice to stop talking
“Hello?” I heard her smooth deep voice on the other side of the phone making me smile
“Hey baby” I said
“Hi pretty girl, I miss you”
“I miss you more handsome, you're calling kinda early everything ok?” I asked as I watched Jaylen cringe
“Yea, I just wanted to tell you I was getting out early”
My heart stopped.
For many reasons.
I was happy my wife and mother of my children were coming home.
But I was terrified at the fact that my wife was coming home and I was still with my boyfriend.
“That's great, do you know when?”
“Not Hey, but you'll see me soon, I want it to be a surprise when I get out so be prepared”
“Uh, uh ok well I can't wait to see you” I said

“Yea baby I'm good, I gotta go pick up Caleb call me when you can” I said
“Ok, I love you and tell my son I miss and love him too” She said making me smile

“She's coming home early” I said
“How early?” He asked
“I don't know Jaylen, I just know it's early” I said as I grew stressed
“Well it can't be today so let's just go out and forget about her” He said pulling me closer and I rested my hands on his chest “Go get Caleb, spend some time with him then drop him off to your best friend's and I'll pick you up or meet you there whatever you want, k? He said
“Yea, ok thank you for this” I said before pulling him down and bring his lips to mine
