Dad grinned and said, "Well princess, we are all here to discuss your wedding with Ken."

"But Dad, I am not ready for this. Ken, why did not you tell me about this earlier?" I asked Ken, turning my head away from Dad.

Ken exclaimed, "I was wondering if you were prepared for this."

"Well, anyway!" I approached my dad and sat down next to him while I was venting. I started to persuade him by taking his hand and saying, "Look, Dad, I know you are making this decision for my good life and you want to see me happy in my life but Dad I am not mentally ready for this wedding right now because I have obligations to the Galaxy, and the Galaxy is not doing well right now. I have noticed that over the past four to five years, our company's profit margin has steadily decreased, and the Galaxy has experienced several crises, including financial losses, staffing shortages, and more. I am needed by the galaxy, Dad. I gave my justification for it.

Dad said, "Ken, what do you think?"

"I can wait for her for the rest of my life, as per her request, father-in-law," Ken said, glancing at me.

Dad replied, "All right, let us put this off." Grinning, I went upstairs to my room.

After an hour, I left the room and went downstairs. Dad was the only person there, so I asked him about Ken and his family. He told me that they had followed me back and that Ken had left for Galaxy after receiving a call from the company.

"Oh, I see," I muttered.

One Week Onward...

With all of my official belongings surrounding me, I was looking through files, reviewing histories, and doing all the usual "Here you go!" My cabin door was opened by a quiet voice. Peeping over the door of my cabin, I saw my dad and Ken together.

"Dad?" I muttered.

After they both moved into my room and settled in, I got up.

"Dad, Are you okay? What, exactly, brought you here?" I made a query.

Indeed, all is well, but... He ended his speech without saying anything more.

"But dad, what?"

I knelt in front of him and asked in concern.

"Dad?"

He was bending his head, so I tilted my head down and tried to catch a glimpse of his face.

However, he did not react to my actions, so I looked up at Ken and raised both eyebrows as my eyes widened, as though I were asking him a question.

"What is happening?"

He responded by shrugging both shoulders and shaking his head "No," raising his eyebrows to suggest that he had no idea.

Since his response caught me off guard, I gave him a stoic expression as though I was asking, "Really? You claim to know nothing about him, even though you accompanied him."

Afterwards, he seemed to be saying, "What is my fault in this?" expressing this. I then rolled my eyes as though to convey the message,

"You have to know that you were with him all the time! Anyhow..."

Dad interrupted our little eye-to-eye dialogue as we were both chatting away.

"Ken! Please allow us a little personal space. It is private."

With a nod in return, Ken left the cabin.

"Dear princess, I am not ignorant of the galaxy's conditions. I knew that since you have been looking after your galaxy, you have exerted every ounce of effort to restore the galaxy to its former glory." He remarks with worry.

"What do you want me to understand, Dad? "I am confused; I do not understand."

"Kings!" he exclaims, his expression blank.

Dad, what does that mean? I asked, utterly naive.

"Sign the contract and launch the joint venture." He exhaled as he got to his feet and took a step forward, both hands going into his pants pocket.

"Dad, how are you able to say that? "No way," I retorted quietly.

"Are you talking about signing a contract with him, knowing that it is because of him that our company is in this predicament?" I And.

"Look princess, our competitor currently has more than enough power to make our company invisible in the market. Let us play smart, not dumb. Making them an enemy is enough to make them look dumb. Let us get a partnership with them and play smart. Once our company has reached its peak, we will take their signs on this agreement to remove them from the remaining 50% partnership." he said, elaborating.

"According to this agreement, Ellie White, the CEO of Galaxy, will inherit all of Mr Amor Kings' authority as CEO of Kings." My eyes enlarge with shock.

"However, Dad, tell me when and how you came to this agreement. "And above all, how are we going to obtain his signature on these documents?" I asked, panting.

With a devil grin, he turned around and said,
"Oh my princess, see how innocent you are?"

I wore a bewildered look. Dad clarified later,
"He would not ever sign it knowingly, but what if he didn't?"

"I got you, Dad!" I said with a menacing smirk.

As I said this something hit my mind and I questioned Dad, "What about Ken Dad?"

Dad says, "You focus on your goal and leave him with me; I will take care of him."

"All right," I nodded and muttered.

"You must already be aware of how you intend to carry out the plan that I told you about.", Dad exclaimed.

"I am sure of it, Dad. Just unwind and observe how your princess manages this." I said, looking beaming. Dad blink in response as if he's saying,
"I knew it".
