A Fresh Start

bianca goes crazy

Bianca has had a rough couple of weeks. First they lose their mom, fine she guessed it's just Nico and her now. Then they find out they have a random ass lawyer who came from nowhere, who doesn't even take us to an orphanage but instead to a hotel and casino, where we're supposed to just 'hang tight' until they can figure out more permanent arrangements. Then that permanent arrangement turned out to be a boarding school. Which wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't the creepiest boarding school in the whole world. Now here Bianca is, standing with her brother amongst a crowd of young girls and boys wearing dresses and suits, whilst she was trying not to stand out with her t-shirt and jeans and green floppy hat. Nico was busy playing with his cards right next to her, at least she didn't have to worry about him running off.

While she was busy thinking about what Nico and her have been through the past few weeks, she realized she was rubbing her soul mark. A mark that everyone gets when they are born. It's something that represents the person that was meant for you, and that you were meant for. Hers was a a depiction of a beautifully crafted bow and arrow, the bow was the color of volcanic rock and the arrow shining like the moon. It was simple yet Bianca loved it very much, it was something that helped her get through the weeks she spent without her mom. Other than Nico of course, she loved him to death and would do anything to take care of him.

She was brought out of her thoughts when a hand clamped down on her shoulder. Dr. Thorn the vice principal was at their side, his other hand on Nico's shoulder. He spoke in a French accent but she swore she heard a growl from the back of his throat when he started speaking, 'You two are in big trouble, I'm going to need you both to come with me.'

Bianca wasn't about to go with this creepy guy for no reason, she was positive that neither her or Nico had caused any trouble, so obviously she tried to resist going with him. But apparently he was done talking and instead gripped the back of their necks hard enough to knock off her hat and started to steer them out the back of the gymnasium door. We made it to the main entry hall when Dr. Thorn tensed up, 'Looks like we're being followed,' he shoved us into a corner of the room and looked at us with a very dangerous glint in his different colored eyes. 'Do not move from this spot or you will regret it.'

Bianca didn't know what was happening but she figured it would be best to not get killed in a dark hall in a creepy school, so she decided to listen to him for the time being and held Nico tight against her chest. Not too long after that she heard a door open on the opposite side and saw a young boy with black hair and a glowing sword? She didn't focus on that though because she saw Dr. Thorn move in the shadows and she tensed up in fear. He must've thought she was scared of him because he slowed his approach and raised his hands up, 'My name is Percy, I'm here to get you guys out of here and somewhere safe.' He kept his voice level but Bianca could see his hands shaking while held them up. She tried to warn the boy with her eyes but he didn't catch on in time as something flew out of the darkness and hit him in the shoulder with a sharp *THWACK*. It went straight through his shirt and jacket and pinned him to the wall. He tried swinging his sword but there was nothing to swing at, Dr. Thorn was still too far away to be hit.

A cold laugh echoed through the hall. 'Yes, Perseus Jackson,' Dr. Thorn snarled. 'I know exactly who you are.'

Percy tried to free his shoulder but it clearly wasn't working, he had been pinned to the wall by some kind of spike, some black dagger like projectile that was about a foot long.

Dr. Thorn moved towards them from the darkness and stepped into dim light. He still looked human but his face became ghoulish, he had perfectly white teeth and his brown/blue eyes reflected the light from Percy's sword. All in all he looked like a crazy person, Bianca concluded, then again maybe she's the crazy one. None of this seemed real.
