Chara let out a sigh, eyes fixated on the ceiling above them. The room was quiet. Morning dawn creeped through the windows.

Naturally, it wasn't long until the unbelievably loud blaring of Frisk's alarm seemed to shatter the sound barrier. Two annoyed groans were just barely audible.

"Why is that your alarm?!", Chara yelled.

"It's the only thing that wakes me up!" Frisk turned off the alarm on their phone, their voice returning to a normal volume. "Except the one at home."

"Mhm.", the older human groaned again. They draped their arm across their face, taking a deep breath. It could more so be compared to a deep sigh.

"Are you angry that I have school today?" Frisk's tone sounded playful.

"I'm so done being here. I want to take a shower."

"You can barely stand." The sound of covers shifting echoed through the room. "At least you have a phone now, you can bug me the whole day if you'd like."

"I'm not gonna bug you while you're in class. You need to pay attention."

Frisk turned on the light. The sudden brightness made the both of them flinch. "Shame."

Chara looked over at the wheelchair. If they could, they would chuck it out of the window and set it on fire. Alas, they still relied on it for the time being. "Do you think that thing is waterproof?"

"... The wheelchair?" Chara nodded. "Might be bad for the leather, I don't know. Do you wanna drown it or something?"

"I want to take a shower.", they whined. "I appreciate the bed baths so I don't smell, but I feel so gross." Their hands covered their eyes in frustration. They felt some weight take seat at the foot of their bed.

"You can't stand, Chara."

"Says who?"

"Okay, stand up then."

"Uh..."

They rested their elbows next to their torso, pressing down their weight in order to sit up straight. They swayed their legs to the side of the bed, sitting next to Frisk now. A small moment of fear ushered over them, as they collected all of their might and willpower to stand.

"See?" A loud ringing started buzzing in their ears, as the world around them slowly started fading to white. "Oh shit-"

Two arms wrapped around them, sitting them back down on the bed. Regular vision slowly started returning to them.

"Too fast?", Frisk questioned.

"Too fast." Chara rested their hand on Frisk's shoulder, gently squeezing it as they came to their senses.

"Let's try that a little slower..."

They nodded, slowly rising off of the bed once more. Two arms wrapped around their waist supported them. Chara's knees trembled, the sudden weight they had to support almost causing them to buckle and cave in.

"You got this.", Frisk whispered. It was only then Chara came aware of the warmth radiating off of the other, and the closeness of their bodies. "Just open your eyes."

They hadn't even realised they had forced them shut. Fear had taken them over up until this point. Listening to Frisk's request, they opened their eyes. Brown met red once more.

"Lil' scaredy cat." Frisk's tone of voice remained but a mere whisper.

"Shut up.", Chara whispered. "I'm doing it, aren't I?" Frisk nodded.

"How long do you think you can hold it out?"

"Long enough to shower."

Frisk rolled their eyes, the amplification of their voice returning to a normal volume. "Right. So much for a moment."
