Three Days

The Vows

"Finally, love you are standing in front of me and I'm standing in front of you, and both of us are standing in front of god. And in front of our families, and friends, I'm wholly offering myself to you.

You have no idea how much you make my life brighter and brighter everyday. You make me want to live forever. You make me want to live a little longer. But even if I have only one day left in this world, I sure will spend it by your side.

I just wanted to thank you for choosing to spend the rest of your life with me. I cannot promise that I can be a perfect husband for you, but I will not wake up everyday without the effort of making you happy. Having you is like sitting beside happiness and it made me not want to stand up anymore because I don't want to lose you, ever.

I will wake up to each tomorrow looking forward to being with you. I will sleep each night with joy in my heart because I was lying next to you. I will love to wake up in the middle of the night just to watch you sleeping, because that my love- is what I've been dreaming to do, all my life. And you're finally here, and I can finally do it tonight.

I promise to take care of you until we both grow old not because I'm your husband but because I'm a man who loves you so much. I love you love."

That's how he recited his vow to me, as both of our eyes get teary.

As a woman fond of stories, poems and love letters, writing my own wedding vow, so far was the best thing I ever done.

This is how I replied.

"Hi, love! I never thought we would reach this point. Where we could finally sleep next to each other starting tonight, without worrying if our parents will get mad at us tomorrow. Because from this moment on, we'll be living in the same home. Yes!

Please remember this love, I will forever be your best friend, I will listen to all your dramas, rants, and problems at any time of day or night. I won't let you face them alone. I will love to take care of you for the rest of our days. I will love to prepare of your breakfast in bed every morning. I will cook your favorite food, and make your coffee. I will love to just lie down with you on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Please let me stare at you, whenever I wanted to as I long for this moment all my life. Darling, you are my miracle, and my dream come true.

I can never have enough time to tell you all the things I wanted to tell you, but let me summarize them into three words, I love you!"
