It was a warm summer day, and Cedric Diggory and I were walking around the Hogwarts grounds. We had been friends for years, but lately, I had been feeling like there was something more between us. As we strolled along, Cedric suddenly took my hand.
"Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something," he said softly, looking into my eyes.
I felt my heart skip a beat as he spoke, wondering if he was going to say what I hoped he was going to say.
"Cedric, what is it?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
He took a deep breath and then looked back at me. "I know we've been friends for a long time, but I wanted to tell you that...I love you. I've loved you for a long time, and I just had to tell you."
I felt my face flush as he spoke, and I couldn't help but smile. "Cedric, I love you too," I said, feeling happier than I had in a long time.
He grinned and then leaned in to kiss me, and I felt like I was on top of the world. From that moment on, Cedric and I were inseparable, and I knew that we would be together forever.
