Dead. He was dead. How could he be dead if he was still able to think? He was confused. Was he dead or was he alive? Could he even be alive if all his friends had died for him and his cause, even if he was alive, could he really live without his friends? No, no he couldn't there was no way he could live with himself.

Was he dead or was he alive? He still did not know. He forced his eyes open, his eyes spotted the mirror. It was a dream, a strange dream. How could one think in a dream? Grantaire stirred next to him and he sat up, leaning against the blonde.

"What did you dream of this time?" Grantaire asked.

"Death." Was his reply.

"Death?"

"Yes, death."

"How horrible." Grantaire said.

He did not reply and instead pulled Grantaire close to his chest.

"What would they say if they saw us like this?" Grantaire asked, 'they' referring to their friends.

"Courfeyrac would squeal, 'Ferre would say something like 'I told you so' and well um, I'm not sure about the others." He replied.

Grantaire smiled and kissed him before snuggling back under the covers and Enjolras held him.

"Good night, my love." Enjolras whispered.

"G'nigh', Apollo." Grantaire mumbled and the pair fell asleep.
