Hindi muna ako tuluyang pumasok sa loob ng library. At least I needed to do something to stop whatever stunts my brother was planning. Ayaw ko sa ginagawa niya. I don't like the idea of being associated with someone I just met. Zandrius is still a stranger to me.  He got that air that I refused to breathe. Masyadong nakakasakal.

"Wew. You don't need to wait for me."

Zandrius's cocky expression put so many bolts of electrons in my nerves. Inis akong bumaling sa kanya. I saw him smirking. His hands were inside his pockets while he was walking towards me.

"Excuse me? I didn't wait for you!"

Umirap ako. I tightened my grip on the books. I'm getting anxious about whatever idea is running through his mind right now. Yes, I wait for him. Ano naman ngayon? Hindi ko naman siya hinintay para magsabay kami. I hope he doesn't get the wrong idea. Baka masapak ko siya ng wala sa oras.

He raised his brow. "Akala ko ba ayaw mo sa akin. Why the waiting sweetheart?"

Swe—Sweetheart?!

Nagsalubong ang mga kilay ko. "Stop the fuss! I wait for you to tel–"

"So you do wait for me..." He smirked.

Tuluyan na siyang nakalapit sa akin. Umatras ako. As much as possible, I want to distance myself from him. Hindi kasi ako mapapanatag sa tuwing malapit kami sa isa't isa.

I scoffed. "Because I want to tell you that–"

"You like me? Oh, come on!" He looked away and ran his fingers through his hair. He was smiling like everything was so ridiculous. Like I'm ridiculous 'cause I like him!

What?! No! I don't like him! Hell with that thought! Tingnan mo! Pati utak ko naimpluwensyahan na sa pagka ilusyonada niya!

Like him?! What the hell? Where did he get that idea?

"K ba ang blood type mo?" I restrained myself from lashing out in front of him.

Kumunot ang noo niya. He looks at me ridiculously.

"What? Walang K na blood type." He said it like I'm the dumbest person ever to live on earth because I asked that kind of question.

Tumaas ang isang kilay ko. "Wala ba? Ba't parang iyan ang blood type mo? Kayabangan!" Tinalikuran ko siya pero hinarap ko ulit nung may naalala.

"And please, stop following me around! Ano ka? Aso? My god! I don't need you here! So stop this nonsense and go back to your girls!"

Nagmartsa ako patungo sa loob. Ni hindi ko na inilibot ang tingin ko sa loob na madalas kong ginagawa bago umupo sa isa sa mga lamesa. I put the books on top of the table. I raked my hair frustratingly and when I realized someone was staring at me, I looked at the person who was sitting on the other table in front of me.

Muntik na akong mahulog sa upuan nung magkatagpo ang mga mata namin ni Kai. Agad kong inayos ang aking sarili. How could I not notice that he was sitting in front of me?! Sa tuwing pumupunta ako rito, umuupo ako sa lamesa na malayo sa kanya para malaya ko siyang matitigan pero dahil wala ako sa sarili ko kanina, ni hindi ko namalayan na sa katapat na lamesa niya ako umupo.

Tumikhim ako at bahagya pang nataranta. Ang lakas ng tibok ng puso ko. I flip the pages with trembling hands. When I glanced at him and caught him staring at my trembling hands flipping the pages of the book, my heart beat double. Nakakahiya!
