عمومن، غوينغ نسحب عالكالكولس شويتين لأحكي عن حب حياتي Silent Hill.

This masterpiece was a huge thing for 8th grade me, a series that actually what really pushed me to write Soulless (بلا روح) so I'm pretty much grateful for it, hugely developed my view of horror elements and how to use them properly, cuz it's known as a timeless treasure for the physological horror genre of video games despite being as old as the 2000s.

However, it was my gateway to what I enjoy playing/reading mostly now, and I consider myself one with high taste for beginning here (no offence y'all, but try harder to be as cool as I am)

Now that I actually got the chance to play it on my own it just felt wildly different, as I started with Silent Hill 3 and will play the 4th installment once I'm over with my finals. The atmosphere is so different, tense and heavy and it does an incredibly mad job at pulling one's mind into it to carry on no matter how clear the sounds of the shadows lurking in the dark might seem.

A story of a cult, a story of some weird unhinged religion to birth a God from a little girl's womb against her will, that "God" who's going to bring salvation of all man kind, now that's a well-written plot if you ask me.

Without diving into the heavy lore, although I can and pretty much want to, I'm just too hungry to do that now.
Oh yeah, I'm also here to talk about my beloved Akira Yamaoka!

Being a game developed by a Japanese studio, Yamaoka volunteered to work on the game's soundtracks because he thought no one could do it better (he was right) and took the role right away.

What we really hear is just astonishing, he delivers the feels pretty effortlessly and works hard on his songs it shows, he's a brilliant mind with awesome guitar skills (which I dig so badly) and creates incredible soundtracks that can't be forgotten.

And it's not like he needs any more perfection, but our one and only Mary E. McGlynn's incredible emotional STRONG voice that literally blows my mind off joins Akira, it's next level and she has the talent to speak for the characters' pain and sorrow, this game is something in every aspect.

Finally, I'd finally put in my own mini playlist of the OSTs that I find absolutely banging, collected from every game of the series and not sorted by the most favourite (I can't do that, they all so good).

- One More Soul To The Call (my first ever, Soulless heavily was influenced by it)

- Hell Frozen Rain

- I Want Love (Studio Mix)

- Waiting For You

- Tender Sugar

- Cradle Of The Forest

- Your Rain

- You're Not Here

- End Of Small Sanctuary

- Please Love Me... Once More

- Letter - from The Lost Days

- Theme Of Laura (:(♡)

- Promise

I didn't know it'd get this long, but they all are peak tracks and I don't think any horror game can get a composer as good as Akira Yamaoka is, and I don't accept to hear otherwise.

Peace out ✨
