Shadow was walking thinking about what was said. He really did not truly know where the emeralds were. Even if he had his memory still probably would not know .
He stopped walking after seeing a group of people. He went behind a tree to see what was going on.

it looked like a graveyard where people were gathering, they placed flowers on the grave and they moved on.
After they left the grave , Shadow went over to the main grave and read the tombstone.
"this grave site is dedicated to the lives lost, fighting for the freedom of Planet Aura.
From Metarex tyranny, may the future generations remember the sacrifices"
Shadow walked past the grave site until a battlefield was shown.
Metarex and pieces of armor from natives of the planet , littered the ashen gray ground.
the battlefield looked like it was nuked , craters were everywhere.

Metarex grunts were broken into pieces and leeking a purple fluid.
Shadow saw someone in a gray hood , looking over the site.
A woman with blue skin and green hair , her ears where pointed.
She was quiet and her eyes were sullen and tired.
Shadow walked over to her and talked.
Shadow: "Excuse me , I'm new to this planet , what happened at this site ?"
The woman jolted like she was trying not to cry,be she composed herself.
Auran Woman:" This was were the people of Aura did everything they could to fight off the Metarex.
there were many battles but, this was the final battle before they took our planet egg. "
Shadow was not showing any emotion but, he was listening diligently to her tale.
The air around was getting colder so that he could see his breath.
The woman took a deep breath and spoke again.
Auran Woman:" The entire planet went to fight this battle. Men , Women , Children on the front lines everyone did everything that they could to beat the Metarex back.
it was called Battle of Aura's Will
the battle was going well at first, even though we still did not have an advanced technology as the Metarex.
We still had to fight the Metarex to survive..."
the woman's voice broke and she went into tears
Shadow walked to her and comforted her.
Shadow;" It's okay , take your time."
Auran Woman " Thank you , even though we were winning at the start of the battle. the Metarex fleet came and blasted the majority of the force.
The Metarex took the plant egg and the Metarex fleet was going to blast the capital city, Ute off the planet.
A brave few took their flyers and took down the Metarex fleet".
the woman walked ahead and pointed down the hill .
Shadow moved his head and looked in shock.
the valley below the hill was a dozen broken Metarex ships and little flyer wreckage.
Mist was covering the area.
Auran woman:" My husband and two sons were apart of the flyers, they lost their lives saving the planet from the fleet.'
The woman knelt and broke down into tears.
Auran woman" I was the only one to take care of the two twin daughters. After that shortly, the plants on the planet started to go crazy. And felt like life was being sucked out of me.
then it stopped and the Planet Egg was returned."
the woman rubbed her eyes.
Auran woman;"However, the scars of the war, still remain my daughters will never know their brothers and father."
Shadow realized about something with Sonic. As much as he is the hero of his world , he cannot save everyone. As much he claims about Freedom and his carefree attitude.
As fast as he is , people cannot rely on Sonic to save them forever, he is powerful. However , something or someone is going to beat him. Hopefully, his world can fight on without him he is not immortal.
But, if he is gone who will take his place?
Shadow:" You have lost a lot but , there is an opportunity to make a better future for your daughters. but they must not forget the sacrifices made."
the woman took a deep breath.
Auran Woman:' Thank you stranger, my name is Rea . what is yours "
Shadow: " My name is Shadow , Shadow the Hedgehog"
Rea smiled for the first time.
Rea;"Nice to meet you , Shadow , must be off to my daughters. they are with my mother."
Shadow;" Ok, take care , Rea"
Rea walked off waving goodbye to Shadow.
with Shadow waving too.
Shadow looked again at the site for a final time and skated off.
