It was painfully obvious how much he loved you and it was painful how oblivious you were.
"So what's up" you said walking up to your friend
"Here, it's the tv drama you said you missed"
It was sweet "oh you remembered" every time you were with Jiro there was the warm feeling of a big brother but on his end it was unrequited love
You heard swirls coming from the end of the hall mid conversation with Jiro and you already knew it was Akabane.
Yours and Jiros heads turned to Akabane who was simply walking by to grab lunch that you made him. Apart of you is really hoping he likes it.
Jiro noticed your cheeks turning slightly pink at the sight of karma. Maybe it was how uneasy he felt about you two living together but he hated when you would look anyone else's way, especially at the most popular boy in a school/your roommate
'Can you stop looking at him and look at me instead forever? Can you love me the way I love you forever?' He internally asked something he'd never have the balls to say outloud
Your face dropped at all the attention he got. You basically have no chance with karma and even if there was the fear he can easily find someone prettier is always lingering.
~~~ 3 days later at home (winter break)
11 days till Christmas Eve
You came out of your room into the chilly living room to find Karmas red hair poking out of the table heater
Did he fall asleep in the living room again? "Morning" you said getting closer to find him still sleeping
He opened his eyes to find you crouched down looking at him
This kinda reminded you of the time he kissed you
"Aoki" he muttered in a groggy morning voice "mhm?"
"Your nose hairs sticking out"
"I was just going to wash my face" you said closing your nose rushing to the bathroom
He sat up from the Kotatsu whining about his back hurting "it's past noon yknow" karma said "So what? Todays a holiday" you replied
"Akabane, aren't you going out today?"
"Nah I'm too lazy" he replied stretching (same bud)
That means...you and Akabane are alone together
You peaked up after rinsing your face to find him undressing "what are you doing?!" You screamed
No way he's already this comfortable with you "getting ready to shower" he nonchalantly said removing his shirt
"But I'm in here now" you blushed covering your eyes with the face towel
Karma took this as an opportunity to tease you "what? You can't resist me or something?"
"No it's just that last time we were in here at the same time I saw you naked"
"And? I don't mind. That's a heads up in case you wanna do the same" How was he so calm about this? Right now you were blushing so much it was embarrassing "why would I wanna-"
*DING DONG*
The door
You took this as an opportunity to escape "I'll get it" you said sprinting out
You opened the door to find Layla in her winter attire. "Layla!" You smiled as you let her in "Suki! Sorry to barge in"
"Layla? What's with the bags" karma asked now clothed
