1) Kuyo draws butterflies on his leg. This is a small symbolism of butterflies meaning temporary. They most often mean change, but they can also mean things that are temporary, or in this case, temporary happiness.

2) I mention a spider twice. This in reference to Indra's web or net, which is in the title. Spiders can have a meaning of "hiding reality with veils of illusion." This is referring to Indra's net, which is a net that is infinite and peers endlessly at itself and all points on the net, thus infinitely seeing everything in the universe. Every truth in the universe peers back at each other and they all converge and lead to each other. T

his is meant to be due to Rei's sketchbooks connecting back to Kuyo, and it being Kuyo peering back at himself. Rei peering at Kuyo, peering back at Kuyo, peering at Rei and his dead corpse, peering at Rei, etc. (Please note I did minimal research for this, plus it's from wikipedia. This could absolutely be wrong, or my understanding is wrong. Please feel free to correct me.)
