Something is missing.

He didn't know what but that was what his instinct was telling him. The same feeling he had just right before his mother went to Harries village and died.

And whenever he felt that sense of unease that wouldn't go away no matter what he does, there's no doubt that something he doesn't like would happen to him.

Yet he wondered what else could be taken from him. He didn't have a home, the Henituse territory and family except him had already been buried in the ground. His mother whom he loves the most was also long gone so there simply can't be another tragedy that would make him feel worse than what he was feeling.

But this time, it was different. The missing piece that he felt suddenly vanished as he looked at the familiar face of a child he had never seen before.

Yet he wasn't happy. He wasn't feeling anything other than losing more than he already has.

Cale glanced one last time at the small child bearing resemblance to him and his mother, the child who was strong enough to kill him yet chose to betray his ally and died in the process.

He picked up a flower somewhere, doing one last thing for the child and marched towards the capital to report what had happened.

After all, betrayal or not, the child had chosen to ally with the same enemy who took down his family, his home.

Oh how he cursed himself again and again for his foolish thinking and wished to have done more but alas, wishing wouldn't bring back all the people he lost-

He remembered the cry of an infant and the thoughts that plagued his mind to make it disappear.

He remembered the smile that makes him feel like the most special person in the world.

Remembered the pain of losing something, losing the memories, losing his child-Childchild- hishishishishishishishishisalone-

Remembered the time when he felt the sense of fulfilment yet he wasn't relieved one last bit.

Because through the end, Cale Henituse lost everything he held dear, lost the smile that makes him feel like the luckiest man alive and lost his reason for living.

"That is why, God of Death, I will accept your deal"

He looked back at the void that stared back at him as he could feel the presence of something greater than the white star in person.

"I hope you live a long life this time around, Cale Henituse"

He probably won't but this time around, his family will.
