Shawn is a member of the ELITE as he joined Japan in 2014 to make a name for himself and made friends with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks due to their shared passions for gaming and wrestling and due to the friendship between them he was invited into the bullet club and he stayed there for 2 years winning the IWGP junior heavyweight title 2 times and the IWGP intercontinental title once before he was poached by the WWE in the great New Japan Purge of 2016, He debuted for NXT at Takeover Dallas against Apollo Crews and he stayed in NXT for 4 years winning the NXT Title 2 times, the North American Title 3 times and the NXT Tag Titles once with Hideo Itami before leaving in 2021 once his contract expired and he is set to debut for AEW at All Out 2021 and that is where our story begins
