The King and the Thief

The People of Awa

Hanoka stroll through the street, keeping her ear out for news and people talking around her.

"Did you hear.... Seems The king is recently found dead."

"The king huh?"

"The Princess went missing too...."

"Heh, so?"

"Eh? You're not shocked?"

Those are simply one of the conversation that catch her ear as she goes.

'Of course they wouldn't be shocked.... Or rather.... They wouldn't care. That Informant must be new in town...' She thought.

She reach the towns local theater and saw the local kids gather there, practicing their up coming play.

"Ah, Hanoka-Ne-chan!!!"

The kids greeted and began to gather around her.

"Hi guys, I make you guys something."

Hanoka open her boxes and show them a pile of grilled meats. The kids beamed at the sight and began grabbing them. The older member of the theater began to approach her as well.

"Hanoka-chan, You came?" One of them said.

"Of course, I'm an extra right?" The girl said.

"Extras don't have that many part to play..."

"Well, I got nothing else to do at the moment."

"Hanoka-Ne-Chan!!!" One of the kid called as she began eat.

"Yes, I heard that you steal from...." The adult surround her suddenly covered her mouth and began shussing her.

"Keep her mouth shut why don't cha?"

Hanoka only chuckled though she's grateful at the adult quick action. 

"Where's Master?" She asked. 

"He went to picked up the new props from the craft man recently, he probably wouldn't be back for a while."

Afterward she began to hear her surrounding talk. 

"Ne... I heard the king died...."

"Heh, Yeah... That's a shame...."

"And the princess missing too...."

"Well, it's not like we know anything about her anyway. The late king almost never let anything about her went public....."

"But they say she was kidnapped...."

"Well it's about time she got out!"

She heard both the adult and kids alike talks.

"I heard they've already crown a new king..."

She heard one kid said and notice them turning to her.

"Ne, Hanoka-Ne-Chan!!! What do you think about that?" they asked.

"What's there to think about?"

"The new king of course!!" The girl stated.

"Nothing really...." Hanoka said, taking a bite of her meat.

"Eh, really?"

"Yeah, really... What about you? What do you think of the new king?"

The girl suddenly screech in excitement. Hanoka cover her ears, deadpanning.

"I'm sure he must be good looking. You think He'll come here?" she asked making Hanoka snort.

"Dream on!! Royal Palace is miles away... Beside, People up there wouldn't care about us anyway." Hanoka said.
