She runs down the trail lined by trees that are tall and slender that sway with every gust of wind. She gasps for breath every few seconds even though her lungs begged her stop she can't.

It was too close.

She hits a split in the trail with two signs pointing opposite ways. The one that pointed left read "Cabins this way" in big white faded letters with a black outline on a sign made with old rotting wood. While the other one that pointed right read "Continued trails" in bold bright big white letters with a nice and clean black outline on fresh wood that was quite out of place next to the other.

She remembers the mention of the of the sign that reads "Continued trails" from (.... . .-./ ... - --- .-. -.--). She can't let that happen. So she goes left as she's running she sees the dense forest that surrounds her and doesn't even let the moonlight through its leafs get less and less dense soon enough she starts to see Cabins. They're made from old dark wood with plants over growing it as if Mother Nature is claiming her land back.

"They're unstable but they'll do" she thinks to herself before she uses the last bit of speed she has to dash to a cabin labeled "Cabin 5" in metal lettering with the letter "b" hanging on by a thread. She ducks behind a flipped bunk bed which much like everywhere else was consumed by Mother Nature with holes all throughout.

It searches through a cabin labeled "Ca-in 3" though the "b" letter sat on the entry floor. It's slim figure dives for the corner and swiftly turning it's full long body around to see behind the flipped bunk beds to find her. Nothing. It stand up with its back hunched as it's long lengthy legs pull the rest of itself along towards the door.

As it searches cabin 1 and cabin 4 it let's out a screech so high pitch and gut retching she covers her ear but it's no good as she uncovers her ears she feels a warm liquid on her palms and some going down her upper lip into her mouth.

A metallic taste spreads through her mouth reaching every taste bud. Blood. She instinctively spits it out on the floor. The blood mixed with saliva drips from her mouth. Drip drip drip.

As she sits there on her knees bent over the puddle with her hands on either side she snapped back to reality and turns her head towards the bunk that faced the door and peers into one of the holes and almost let out a scream but quickly slaps her hand over her mouth. It was coming for her cabin.

It's unsettling stumble into the cabin as if it's dragged by its own limbs with it's back hunched you could see the outline of its spine and ribs on its pale pale skin as if it was dead. Though the creature was alive its smell said other wise it smelled like every ever deceased rotting animal combined. It's long talon like fingers with sharp pointed ends each finger triple the size that it should be with bloody end that fade into gray further up reaching the palm of its hand which somehow was a lighter shade of gray.

It's dark glaring eyes scanned the Cabins interior for any signs of life. When it found nothing it took its right bloody hand and stabbed it right through a bunk bed she watched as it picked it up with ease and throwing it across the room and it lands right in front of the only exit for her. She just been cornered. She looks through one of the holes in the bunk bed and sees that it's leaving. A feeling of relief washes over her.

Until it stops on the second step and makes a sound that she assumes is sniffing.

Metallic. Blood. That's all it smelled before dived for were the corner was with the two beds were and the smell was. Where she was.

All that's heard is a scream follow by a thud that cuts off the scream. After that the sound of chewing along with the sound of crickets is all that is left.

It dived for her throat tearing it open and grabbing the insides of her throat and shoving it in it's mouth chewing with bloody bits falling from its mouth as it chews with its mouth open wide. Then takes its 'pointer finger' and stabs her right below the ribs and drags it down cutting her stomach wide open as blood and guts spilled out it's shoves it's face into it and starts devouring it as saliva, blood, and gut fling all on the walls.

Tess could not change her fate,

Because I made it her fate.

Her story has ended.
