Magnus quickly washed his face and put on one of Alec's dark blue cardigans over before he went to the kitchen. He could hear voices from the kitchen, and he didn't think much of it as he expected it would be Alec and one of their housemates.

"Yeah, we will be back on Saturday afternoon. I will be here to say goodbye to you on Tuesday." Magnus heard Alec's voice.

"Oh, actually.." The other person in the kitchen tried to say something as Magnus entered the kitchen.

"Good morning!" Magnus smiled as soon as he saw James and a woman he had not seen before.

"Good morning, Magnus!"  James said lukewarmley before he put a piece of pancake in his mouth. He was standing a little bit too close to Alec to Magnus's liking. Magnus has never been the jealous one, but when it comes to Alec, he could be very territorial. Magnus smiled at James as he sat down on the chair next to the woman whom he was yet to be introduced to.

"James and Facey are also going to join us for breakfast." Alec quickly told Magnus because the plan was for just the two of them. As much as Magnus didn't like the idea, he didn't want to complain.

"More the merrier." Magnus looked at the pancake stack Alec had made for them. Alec has already placed bowls of fruits, yoghurt, his orange juice glass, and a few more breakfast items on the dining table. Magnus couldn't help but smile when he saw the fresh rose bouquet on the dining table. Of course, Alec would deny till the end of the time, but he knew it was Alec's.

"Hi Facey, I have heard a lot about you." Magnus smiled at Facey. Her expressive dark eyes, black wavy hair, and beautiful and glowing dark skin made Magnus remind his childhood friend Cat.

'She is beautiful.' He thought.

"Really?" Facey replied as she looked at Magnus.

"I have hardly heard anything about you." Facey's cold voice sent shivers down Magnuss spine.

"Oh.." He tried to smile. He didn't need to be a detective to realise the hostility towards him.

"I guess Alexander has too much with you guys around to miss me." Magnus looked at Alec, who was now platting up the pancake.

"Of course, we are fun to be around. Aren't we Facey?" James replied this time without looking at Magnus. He was helping Alec with the plating up. He and Alec seemed to have a certain rhythm to them that made Magnus feel a bit uncomfortable. Since Camille's situation, he realised he needed to pay attention to his intuition, and right now, he was getting a very uncomfortable vibe from both Facey and James.

"Yeah, we know how to have fun without having to leave the country or without leaving important people behind." Facey replied as she looked at the book she had in her hand. And that fekt like a fagger through Magnus's heart. Magnus knew it was time to shut up. It was clear James and Facey, especially Facey, didn't seem to like him, and Magnus didn't want to make it awkward for Alec but he didn't also think he deserved any of judging from people he met for the first time. Any other time, he would have spoken up, but with them being Alec's close friends, he didn't want to ruin anything. It was a bit annoying how Alec was oblivious to all this. Magnus thought he should probably have a chat with Alec later, when its just two of them.

"Blueberry pancake. Your favourite." Alec pushed a plate towards Magnus. Okay, maybe Alec's proud smile was enough for Magnus not to be angry with him. He did have a dazzling smile that could seduce anyone within seconds.

"Thank you, Alec." Magnus tried his best to sound convincing.

"Chocolate chip pancake for us three."
Alec gave Facey a plate and then put the other two plates on the other side of the table. Far away from Magnus.

"Thank you, Alexander." James smiled at Alec, who now sat next to James.

'Again?' Magnus frowned. It was the second time Magnus heard James calling Alec by his full name, and Alec didn't say anything to James.

Instead, " You are welcome." Alec said. Magnus still stared at Alec, who was now digging into his meal as he chatted with James. They seemed to be in their own world.

"You alright?" Facey asked from Magnus, and that made Magnus finally look at Facey again.

"Yeah.. yeah, I am okay. Still waking up, I think."

"Hmm.." Facey took a sip from her apple juice.

"They are cute together, aren't they?" Facey asked as she put down the glass.

'What? Did I just hear that right?' Magnus thought to himself.

"Oh, since Alec and James spend almost all the awake hours together, everyone at the university think they are a couple. I mean, they do make a good-looking couple." Facey looked at Magnus as she said the most absurd thing you could say to ones' partner.

Magnus didn't know how to reply.
'Is she for real? Is this really happening?' His mind was running million miles a second.
------

After the most awkward breakfast of his life, Magnus quickly excused himself after saying he needed to get ready for the journey. Not that James and Facey cared, but Alec seemed surprised by how little Magnus ate.

Magnus walked as quickly as possible to Alec's room. The second he entered the room; he closed the door behind him and leaned against it.

' What the fuck just happened?' Magnus swoop his hair away from his forehead as he tried to understand what was the reason for all that hostility towards him. He just met Facey and James and he hardly has talked to them. Just what made them become that spiteful towards him?

Magnus was raking his brain to understand the reason when Alec opened the door.

"Magnus?" He sounded concerned.

"Are you okay?" Alec asked from Magnus, who was still sitting in bed, still dressed in the cardigan and the sweatpants, instead of getting ready.

"Oh.. yeah. I am okay." Magnus lied. He felt as if he needed time before he could express his concerns to Alec. He knew everything would go downhill so quickly if he could not get his ideas out properly.

"Are you sure? Because you dont seem like you do." Alec sat next to Magnus.

"I.. I.. To be honest, I feel a bit weird and confused."Magnus took a deep breath and closed his eyes to before he said he say anything else to Alec. When he didn't open his eyes, Alec's warm palm cupped his hands, and he felt as if he could finally breathe. It was ridiculous how just Alec's body warmth could ground him when he felt as if he was in the middle of a storm, not just 5 minutes ago.

"I need some time, Alexander. I promise I will tell you what is going on once I am ready." He finally got the words out and opened his eyes to look at Alec. Alec was already looking at him with worried eyes. It seemed like Alec really, really wanted to ask some follow-up questions, but thankfully, he didn't. Instead, he kissed Maguss forehead. Magnus sighed happily as he savoured the feeling of Alec's lips on his forehead.

"I love you, Alexander."He said when Alec finally leaned back and looked into his eyes. Alecs beautiful hazel colour eyes as always took his breath away. He knew he could spend millions of years staring into those beautiful eyes.

"I love you too, my princess."
