Shreya looked towards her mother, Rajeswari who was standing in the dark corner. Her eyes were so red from crying and sleepless nights.
She was so nervous about something, probably her daughters marriage. Her daughters future with a man 22 years older than Shreya.
"It's time" someone shouted from outside the doors. Rajeswari walked towards her daughter and whispered, "Be ready, he will come to take you and save your marriage. Even though Shreya didn't understand what it meant, she didn't concentrate on it as she knew that no one can save her from this marriage.
With a heavy heart Rajeswari led her towards the door and looked into her daughters eyes, "Are you ready, sweetheart?" she asked. Shreya nodded grimly.
Shreya forced a smile. Her father would readily kill her if she didn't look happy in front of the news reporters. The doors opened and instantly the cameras started flashing instantly. More than a dozen people were standing there with cameras and mikes. They were questioning her all at once but a few questions caught her attention.
"Where were you these 22 years?"
"Do you love Mr. Ashok Mehta?"
"You have age gap of 22, don't you feel uncomfortable?"
"Are you happy with this marriage?"
Just as she couldn't bare the questions anymore her father came behind her. "Yes she is very happy indeed" saying this her father looked insisting her to say yes.
Shreya forced a bright smile, "Yes I love my husband". Suddenly the cameras turned their concentration behind her.
A hand slid behind her back and she recognised that cold touch. The cold hands that murdered my brother. "And I love her too" said Ashok Mehta. And Shreya and he posed for few pictures. But he slowly slid he hand down her body which made her uncomfortable.
"Dose she have to bare this her whole life?"
