8.-I dont want to look at anything else now that I saw you.

Susannah walked into the room, " oh Belly honey, you look great. It's so sweet of you Tilly to do her makeup like this." she gushed, both girls chuckled.

" I'm gonna go find an outfit! " Belly grinned giddily,
" I'll come with you." Susannah decided, her and Belly both leaving the room.

Matilda smiled to herself a little bit, now that Belly had warmed up to her. She knew Belly was like family to Conrad, so she felt it was extra important that his family liked her. She was glad things were improving with Belly. For now, anyways.

She walked into the living room, as all the boys played video games. She trudged over to Conrad sitting next to him, he instinctively wrapped his arm around her, playing his game with one hand, as Matilda snuggled into his chest. Everything about Conrad Fisher to Matilda was comforting.

The boys finished their video game, winning.
"YES!" Steven jumped up, high diving Jeremiah, who looked just as ecstatic. Conrad chuckled, smiling proudly at the boys, before he turned all his attention to Matilda, while the boys looked through the rest of the video games. He kissed her forehead, looking down at her face with a smile, "hey, what's wrong?" he asked, his face dropping. Even thought Matilda had only shed very few tears, he could tell when something was wrong. Matilda looked up at him, looking him in the eyes. "Nothing!" she smiled, trying to convince him. She knew Conrad himself hasn't been to good recently, she didn't want to burden him with this.
"Tilly." he stated, firmly but gently.
Matilda merely lied her head on his shoulder, Conrad's heart broke slightly. Matilda always displaying physical affection, but when she's pretending not to be sad, she gets clingy , which of course Conrad doesn't mind, but he does mind if it means her being sad.
"It's nothing, I just explained a bit about my mom to Belly, we talked about it, and it's hard sometimes." Matilda explained, quietly so only Conrad could hear.
Conrad's gaze softened, " Tilly, we don't have to go to the book party tonight if you're not feeling good." he told her, rubbing her arm as his armed wrapped around her shoulders.
Matilda shook her head, "no, I want to go. It's like you told me, those years ago, she would want me to live my life the best I could."
Conrad smiled, as she remembered what he said. " it's true, but hey, you tell me if you're not feel good okay?"
Matilda nodded, purely Conrad Fisher making her feel better.  Conrad chuckled, "good" he kissed her forehead, an arm draped round her waist.
"Would you two mind getting a room?" Steven jokingly scoffed,
"I'm sure you'd love to go get one with Shayla." Matilda smiled back sweetly,
Jeremiah barked out a laugh, while Conrad smiled at Steven. Steven opened his mouth, before quickly shutting it again.

The boys all played a video game, while Matilda lied on Conrad's shoulder, one arm still secured on her waist
Belly walked into the room, "see you guys later!" she beamed.
Jeremiah turned round, double taking, "damn." he muttered, dropping his controller.
"Are you kidding? No!" Steven exclaimed, annoyed. Conrad merely raised a brow. " fine, abandon the game completely Jere." Steve scoffed, in evident irritation.
Jeremiah ignored him, "you look, beautiful."  he told Belly. Belly laughed, smiling widely at the compliment as Jeremiah spun her round.
"Hey, stop flirting with my sister." Steven said, warningly.
"Shut up, Steven." Belly snapped, angry Steven ruined a moment.
"No, you shut up." Steven grumbled. He then turned back round, "you look good though." he muttered, complimenting his sister, earning a heartily chuckle from everyone.

"So, where are you actually going?" Jeremiah asked, his voice dripping with jealously.

"A drive in!" Belly smiled, excited.

"With Cam?" Jeremiah asked , even though he already knew.

Belly looked at her phone, ignoring Jeremiah unintentionally, making him look hurt.
"Uh, okay bye!" She giggled.
