I.
Eyes fluttering awake
To the sunless sea
Upon this starless lake
Fog and darkness, my only company
II.
A lake of still waters I gaze
No eyes I see reflected back at me
At the soft enchant of the night
I plunge to find something inside
III.
Shadows and demons writhe
Grabbing me by the neck, by the skin
I sink deeper and deeper
No light above, not a sliver
IV.
Words and whispers drown me
Lies and broken promises consume me
Hopes and dreams eludes me
Judging eyes and anxiety blinds me
V.
Water under my nose
~~I can't breathe, I can't breathe~~
Water fill my mouth, fill my lungs
~~I can't breathe, I can't breathe~~
VI.
I want to close my eyes
To wait for the sand, the floor
But I swathe the shadows as they come
Maybe one day, I see the color once more
