"wanna come over to my house?"

you carefully eyed his devilish expression, scanning his face for any ulterior motives. you sighed, giving him one last look and getting up from your seat.

"sure." it wouldn't hurt to see his house at least once, right? after all, he's already been to yours.

as you approached the last house on the street, your eyes fell on a traditional japanese house. scaramouche opened the gate, grinning at you as he let you in first. such a gentleman. you rolled your eyes playfully at him.

peering around his front porch, you noticed a small pond with four koi fish swimming around. surrounding the water was a circle of neatly trimmed bushes, green and thriving with life. in all honesty, you were awestruck, and you haven't even stepped foot inside his house yet.

you followed the stone pathway leading to the entrance of the estate. scaramouche trailed behind you.

"gosh, you're so slow." you mocked him.

"shut up, idiot." he looked up from his phone, a slight scowl on his face.

you chuckled at his reaction, watching him unlock the door.

"i'm home!" he greeted, letting himself in first. you almost had the door shut on you by scaramouche. you kept it from closing, entering the house and closing the door behind you. both of you took off your shoes at the lowered platform of the ground, before walking on the main floor.

"i thought you lived alone?" you rose a brow at the purple haired male.

"should i? you don't."

"i don't see you living with anyone from college, that's for sure." you joked, following him into the main living room.

"that's 'cause i don't?" he furrowed his brows, looking back at you.

when you reached the room, you saw an elderly woman gently sitting down on the couch. she greeted you with her soft eyes, a warm smile on her face.

"ah, scaramouche, is this your girlfriend?" she looked over to him. scaramouche poured hot water into two cups of tea, nodding at her question. feeling drawn to her, you sat beside the old lady, placing your bag down beside you.

scaramouche placed the tray containing the tea on the table, before sitting down on the other side of the couch.

"now, now, scaramouche, don't be so cold. come sit next to your lovely lady." you blushed at her compliment, glancing over at your boyfriend. scaramouche let out a sigh, getting up and walking over to you. as he sat down, he grabbed a cup, sipping on it.

"young lady, let me tell you something. my grandson has never had any luck with love, so please treat him well." she clasped her hands over yours, looking deeply into your eyes. you gave her a sweet smile, nodding. even if everything was fake, you couldn't help but feel kinda bad for scaramouche.

next to you, scaramouche was scrolling on his phone, still listening in on your conversation. same old, same old. his grandmother had told his previous partners the exact same thing.

"y/n, let's go. we have a project to work on, remember?" scaramouche stood up, slipping his phone into his pocket. your face lit up at the sudden mention.

"oh, right. it was nice to meet you, madam." you also stood up, smiling at the elderly lady.
