So much for fatherly love.

Maruffo's p.o.v.

Two weeks had passed and Sam was putting my new reddish-brown leather collar on me with a gold circle that said "Maruffo" in cursive.

"Okay murry, you're all set." Sam said happily.

Sam took out his phone and faced it towards me.

"Say fire hydrant." Sam said.

"Fire hydrant!" I say happily but to him it was a bark.

A light flashed in my face before it disappeared.

"I'm gonna send this to Vivian so she can see what you look like." Sam said before walking off.

Papi and Chloe looked back at me and smiled.

"Congratulations, murry. You're officially part of the family." Papi said happily.

"Thanks, papi. You know, you and Chloe have been so supportive since you guys met me. [Sniffles] I love you guys." I say happily.

"Aw, we love you too." Chloe said.

[Papi begins to sniffle]

"Papi, are you crying?" Chloe asked.

"No! I just felt some dust come in my nose! [Sniffles]..Excuse me." Papi said before running off.

[Chloe runs after Papi]

"[Sigh]...i'm finally part of a family." I say to myself.

Suddenly, I heard a bush rustling. I growled lowly as i walk up to it.

"Com' out! If you don't, i'll have no choice but to attack!" I say angrily.

I then saw a German shepherd i thought i would never see again.

"D-Dad?" I say in shock.

"Hey, Maruffo." Delgado said awkwardly.

"What're ya doin' 'ere?" I ask in slight anger.

"I came to see you. I really need to explain something to you." Delgado said.

"Why won't ya leave and come back a year later? You're good at that!" I say angrily before running into the house.

"So much for fatherly love." Delgado said to himself.

"You don't deserve it!" I shout from a distance.

"How'd he hear me?" Delgado asked himself.
