I'm taken away by a swarm of peacekeepers, Inez, and a handful of mentors; past victors from my district. A young girl with shimmery red hair, Annie. Annie won last year, and I've heard from gossips at school, she isn't doing very well mentally. Selfishly, I hope she won't belong to me as a mentor. And lastly, the star of District 4 himself, Finnick Odair. Finnick won a record changing game. He was the youngest tribute to ever win, at fourteen.

We've boarded a train, a fast one too. Nearly as soon as the doors are shut behind us, it's speeding along it's track. Inez escorts Cliff and I into the dining car. She offers us a seat on luxurious armchairs while she pours tea.

She picks up both our cups, trotting over to us when Finnick and Annie enter the car from behind us. Silently, Annie takes a seat on the dual couch completely far away from us. Finnick, on the other hand, plops himself into the other half of the love seat I am seated in. His lips are pressed together into a lazy smile. "Inez is awful at preparing tea, I'd put a sugar cube in it." He turns his head to me earnestly.

I don't say anything as I reach up and take the cup from the woman's hands. Inez rolls her eyes at his comment, and then waddles over to the chair across from us. "Lovely. Aren't you guys excited to see the Capitol?"
