When Love Surpasses Time and Space

Prologue

A war lasting centuries continues to rage on as two advanced civilizations fight over a prophecy stating that a goddess's heir was to be born, one that would bring peace to the galaxy, and to the universe. The king and queen of a civilization of wolf-people, called the Inugalarians, protect their solar system and their child from the wrath of their enemies, the fearsome and mighty Scalatians. When the upper hand is gained by the Inugalarian soldiers, it gives the queen a chance to send her child away and out of reach of the Scalatians' claws.

Stelliara, their home planet, is ravaged by fires and craters from bombs, but remains largely intact and habitable. Stelliaran people from across different species have come together to help the Inugalarians drive the Scalatian forces out of their planet, and out of their solar system. Scorolis, their star, lights the battlefield and scorched ground through the smoky sky.

As for the Inugalarian queen, she manages to reach a spaceport full of escape craft, and places her daughter in one of the pods. She finds it difficult to tell the soon-to-be three-year-old Inugalarian pup that she loves her and hopes she'll find peace far away. She waves one last tearful goodbye as her pup is put into a vacuum-induced cryo-sleep as the pod closes.

Moving to a safe distance, she watches as the rocket lifts off and rides a pillar of flame out of the atmosphere, with a trajectory set for a distant planet.

One final flash can be seen as the craft, now free of the atmosphere, zips off as its hyperdrives engage and leave the solar system.

The Scalatians, watching this, now accidentally give their opponents a chance to finally drive them away. And with that, the war comes to an end...
