~2 Years Earlier~

Kyle and I planned to meet at 7:30 at our hide out so I could tell him about my mom.

Kyle was my best friend and the boy I've loved since I met him, so obviously I tell him everything.

Especially now, seeing that my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, and only has a little time left.

At about 7:50 it started raining, and that's when I noticed he wasn't coming. I needed him here! I can't cope by myself... he knows that.

Deciding to leave an hour later wasn't a good idea. I saw him walking with Katie, the girl he claims he has a crush on.

That broke my heart.

He was supposed to be at our hide out. Comforting me... helping me figure this out.

Well two can play at this game. I won't tell him... he'll have to find out from someone else. I mean if 11 years of friendship can be thrown away because of this, then obviously he didn't care.

So I walked back home and prepared for a long night...

~Present Day~

"Its been a long day, without you my friend. And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again..."

One year ago, my mom died, and I became the varsity soccer team captain.

Two years ago, my best friend left me for the popular people, he broke my heart, and I pulled through.

And today, I have to go back to school, back to my soccer team, back to my friends, and back to my ex-best friend.

Luckily this is senior year. So after this I won't have to see him again.

I grabbed my black, grey, and mint green sweater, some mint green shorts, and mint converse. Grabbed my Nike duffle bag for soccer, backpack, and breakfast, and headed out the door.

Here I come High School.

~At School~

As soon as I get out of my car I see Caroline, Kerry, Julia, and Rachel. Then I see him and his girlfriend Katie who's on the cheer team.

"Carli!" Caroline screams. "I haven't seen you in ages!"

"I saw you yesterday Caroline!" I said while laughing.

"It's been a long 24 hours though!" She said.

"Ok Caro. You win." I said. Then I turned to Kerry, Julia, and Rachel. "Hey girls ready for soccer to start!"

"Heck yeah!" They all responded.

"Well be prepared, today's practice is going to be... interesting." I said. "You know what that mean!"

"Ugh we aren't doing suicides all practice again. Right?" Said Rachel.

"No. But coach set up a scrimmage against the boys team, and they already have big enough egos." I replied.

"We have bring down their egos, so they aren't the size of sky scrapers at least." said Kerry.

"Exactly." Julia said.

"Okay at lunch we'll get the rest of the team, and come up with a plan to crush them." I said.

"Okay." they all responded.

Then the bell rang.
