In the dimly lit corridor, chaos unfolded like a nightmare brought to life. The frantic footsteps of fleeing students reverberated off the walls, a crescendo of fear that clashed with the eerie silence that enveloped me. My gaze remained fixed on the surreal spectacle until a forceful collision shattered my detachment, sending me sprawling to the cold floor.

The world rushed back into focus as screams and pleas filled the air. "Run if you want to live!" echoed a desperate cry, urging us to escape an unseen terror. Bodies lay strewn across the ground, casualties of the unfolding pandemonium that gripped the once-familiar hallways.

A disheveled student, eyes wild with panic, approached me. I was paralyzed until a compassionate soul yanked me to my feet, breaking the trance. "Are you losing your mind? Do you want to die?" she bellowed, shaking me from my stupor. Together, we joined the frenzied exodus of students, navigating the tumultuous currents of the crowd.

I embraced the girl who had pulled me to safety, whispering my thanks amidst the palpable tension. "Thank you for saving me earlier," I confessed, my voice a hushed acknowledgment of the peril we faced.

"No problem, Alyssa," she murmured, reciprocating the embrace as we clung to each other in the unnerving silence. The room became a refuge from the storm outside, a fleeting sanctuary in the face of the unknown.

As minutes stretched into an eternity, a sudden, thunderous noise pierced the air, causing us to startle. Fear gripped us as we listened intently, only to be interrupted by a weak but audible voice from beyond the door.

"Is anyone in here?" The voice quivered as it drew nearer, and Belle, the girl who had guided us to safety, cautiously opened the door. Pulling in the newcomer, she urged silence, whispering, "Don't make noise." I moved to close the door when suddenly...
