'Getting Started'

'So, do you think the witness is lying? If it's true then what I can only theorize right now is that she only attacks people who deals with science courses. I mean she did wipe out a whole science company within two weeks' Kai claims which makes some sense to Linda as she slowly nods her head. But this theory makes Kai anxious because Angela goes to this same college and she's also a science student which means her life could be in danger any moment from now.

'If that's the case, we have to figure out why she only attacks science people and no other people who don't study those courses' Linda replies with Kai barely hearing her as he's lost in thought on how to protect his girlfriend. He then thinks of an idea and immediately suggests it to Linda.

'You want to go back to school?' Linda questions in confusion.

'If I register at the school, I might be able to trace her down since she had started targeting this school and I could defend the students if she arrives out of the blue'

'That's not safe Kai, if she unexpectedly attacks the school then you wouldn't be able to fight her and the police can't be around the school all the time or it will rise suspicion amongst the school students which might make her know that we are onto her and we don't want that. We need to catch her before she could suspect that we have gotten closer to solving her case' Linda asserts, worried for Kai's safety and losing the case.

'You don't have to worry about my safety, I'm also trained in combat so if she does come up, I can apprehend her. I won't draw any suspicion to myself in order to avoid any unwanted attention. If we don't act now, we could lose another life tomorrow' Kai replies which makes Linda surrender with a long sigh.

'Okay, I'm convinced. Just don't get in trouble alright? This place would be useless without you' Linda warns which makes Kai feel better. Not knowing that his major reason of going back to school to protect his beloved girlfriend. Detective III informs the department about Kai's decision on re-entering school to which some protest against the idea knowing that Kai had earned a bit of popularity when he became a young detective, meaning Kai would have to change his whole identity to someone else which includes his name, looks and attitude to blend in and they would also have to forge new registration documents as science courses and a new birth certificate. Even with all this, Kai accepts the task and heads home to tell his girlfriend about it.

'You want to come back to school? Why so?' Angela queries the sudden desire to continue school knowing Kai's lack of interest in studying. He even wants to join science?

'Okay, just because I don't read much doesn't mean I don't like it. And besides I never did finish school so why not?' Kai lies which irritates Angela a bit.

'But you studied criminology and police science yet you're typing in your current course as medicine and surgery...'

'I want to try something new, that's all. I mean I already have a job for criminology so why not study another subject' kai answers her.

'Then who's Andrew Rolers? And this picture- '

'I need a new identity or else I might just attract some people, since I'm a bit known in the city' Kai replies and turns his laptop screen away from Angela's view which makes her roll her eyes. Kai looks up at Angela from his laptop to see her dubious face staring back at him.

'Was I not convincing enough- '

'No!' she retorts which makes Kai look away.

'How?' Kai questions.

'It's either I know you very well or you just suck at lying. Maybe both' Angela responds, making Kai to ponder about his deception skills.

'Is she at my school?'

'It's not that!'

'Then why are you unexpectedly re-joining my school when you have a deadly case to deal with? C'mon, I know you wouldn't do silly things like this unless it concerns with anything extremely important. Otherwise, this is for nothing' Angela claims, almost coaxing Kai to tell her what he is up to.

'Just tell me what you're planning to do' Angela begs.

'It's just that, there may be a connection between the school and her history and I need to dig up information there secretly without attracting unwanted attention so that's why I'm joining the school' Kai lies again. It's better to say that then to say that the homicide was attacking the school next.

'You're saying she could be related to the school somehow?'

'Yup!' Kai asserts which eases Angela's mind judging by her tense face becoming relaxed.

'You could have just said that from the start than making up dumb lies!'

'I didn't want to get you involved, that's all' Kai replies and Angela places her hand on his.

'Just make sure to inform me anything about this, okay? It's my business too' Angela orders and Kai kisses her hand.

'Yes, my lady' Kai reassures as Angela smiles. His deceptive skills seem just fine.

The next day, Linda walks in with a hyper realistic mask molder. The mask molder hands him a scarlet box which he opens to be a realistic face mold made with silicone and must be washed carefully and kept in the freezer if need to reuse it.

'Wow, this mask looks great' Kai compliments.

'I know right, we hired the best mask maker in the city. We can't afford to pay for cheap low-quality masks for this. He's Mr. Rocher and he is a professional in this so whenever you need a new face mold, let him know' Linda fills in and the man watches as Kai puts on the mask for it to be a perfect fit. The man is now allowed to leave after seeing the results.

'Have you finished typing out the documents needed?'

'Yes, and I already printed it out' Kai quickly hands the papers to Linda who seems surprised at the speed of accomplishment.

'Wow. Must be hasty to pin down this criminal huh' Linda comments as she gazes through the document in amazement.

'Yeah, before she finishes with this school, we need to catch up with her' Kai says and watches Linda closing the files.

'Okay, you can head over there now since you're set'

Kai gets going with all the needed equipment and heads to the university to register there as Andrew Rolers with the mask on. Once he enters the office, he sees his criminology teacher as the new principal. Tammy Voren, a teacher in her mid-twenties is a kind and fun teacher that many students approach for any assistance needed and she never fails to make a friendly learning environment for her students. Kai is tempted to take off his mask to reveal to her that he was her favorite student as she had always adored Kai when he was still in school and Kai reciprocates. Too bad, he still has to fool his favorite teacher.

'It's no surprise students would elect her as the new principal!' Kai praises in his monologue.

'Are you the student that wants to register as Andrew Rolers?'

'Yes miss-'Kai cuts his sentence, He almost said her name even though he had only referred her as principal online.

'Any parent or guardian with you now?'

'No none at the moment' he answers as she reads through his documents.

'Freshmen year?'

'Yes'

'Okay I'll register you into the school and you can start tomorrow, is that fine?'

'Yes, I can even start today'

'No, I wouldn't like for you to start midday. It's better to get a fresh morning start tomorrow, okay?' She insists which Kai must surrenders to. He goes home and rests for the remaining time of the day until he must pick up Angela from school and informs her on the way back about him starting tomorrow and Angela could only wish him good luck for joining science.
